Yeah, I'd say the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement probably is a real truth in itself, I'm so glad it's something Gaga stands for and realises is much more valuable to fight for than any record sale could ever be. It's what makes her such a great woman and a legend that will stand the test of time.

A post from GGD which is pretty fitting for this thread.

-Gaga: I was hospitalized for a psychotic break a few years ago

Fans: omg I had no idea! :fatcat:

-Gaga: When I get really stressed out, my body can flare up.

Fans: Oh no, my poor Gaga! :fatcat:

-Gaga: Im in pain every day, from head to toe.

Fans: Oh my god, that must be so hard to deal with!

-A global pandemic, racial riots occur, so Gaga takes a step back from promo.

Fans: I'm unstanning! She doesn't care about her album! There is no excuse! EvErY bOdY eLsE iS pRoMoTiNg! I'm done with her!

And that my friends, is how you tell the difference between fans and entitlement.

As they should. No artist has stopped promoting their stuff because of the protests, and the only ones who have focused exclusively on it are those who don't have an album out this year (Miley, Ariana etc). Gaga shot herself on the foot.

here we go again

Be nice.

If only you would follow your own mantra. But alas you're choosing to act like an entitled arrogant spoiled child demanding everyone to accept YOUR opinion and if someone tries to argue (constructively) back you just go into this vicious angry attack mode and ultimately whip out childish responses when you have zero (relevant) arguments left.

*post reserved for Adelita's response containing one of more of the following:

'attention by charlie puth' / 'ur mum' / 'y u so obsessed wiv me lyk omg'

agree, Little Troll seems more accurate than Little Monster in this case

I am also very baffled that some LMs are blaming her not taking advantage of the buzz around Blackpink when I would think (this is just an assumption) SC was intended to be BP feat. Gaga considering BP opens the song and Gaga is only on the hook.

So, that it is on Chromatica, is actually a huge favour and clever thinking from streaming perspective and yet people say she and team doesn't care.

Well said!

I just don't understand this reasoning when GaGa herself would be ashamed to read comments like these. You know she cares about people and social justice a lot more than chart sales and so should her fans.

I know it all, but I want you to point out to me just one (1) artist of the music industry (with recent projects) who has totally paralyzed the promotion of his work due to BLM protests like Gaga did.

Just look how excited she was for this album

And within hours she literally canceled everything, even the streaming party she had promised to the fans

And anyone who's been a fan of Gaga for a long time knows she'll never make that streaming party she promised again.

And don't tell me she canceled everything of her own free will, because that's a big, fat lie, the joy in her face proves otherwise. She loves her art above all else and she was pressured to cancel everything she had planned (as if the album hadn't suffered enough from the pandemic, which made it impossible for her to do what she likes most: perform on stage).

Also, she didn't said a single word in the middle of the album's release week. No artist, I repeat, no artist would have the courage to lose so much money invested by their label like that.

The fact that she protested in favor of BLM didn't make it necessary for her to have completely stopped the promotion of her album and disappeared from the map as if nothing had happened. She did this because she knows that she would be severely criticized by hypocrites whose faves continued to promote their work (even in the midst of a pandemic and even in the midst of protests).

She's not the one who killed George Floyd, she's not the one who killed Breonna Taylor, she can't carry the guilt of racist killers since she has no blood on her hands. Racism won't end up just because she's trying to be the Rosa Parks of this generation. I applaud what she is doing for the black community as a whole, but it's not for her to try to repress all the hatred and prejudice of the world into herself. Her show has to go on, just as it did for every other artists (for most, the show didn't even stopped).

You can call me insensitive and toxic, i don't care, but that's the only truth through the facts. I'm not a hypocrite and I won't shut up.

Maybe she just doesn't want to go on social media and repeat hey I've got an album out, hey please stream Rain on Me, hey this is 4th lyric video for Sour Candy.

We know it's out, Rain on Me is being playlisted, she might get some VMA noms shortly, her tour is next year... she might be preparing for her role in the upcoming Ridley Scott movie as we speak.

This isn't a 100m sprint, it's at least 1500m if not a marathon and she'll get plenty of promo possibilities later on, starting from AMAs, Grammy's etc

I laugh so hard when some of you don't say what you really think just for fear of being harassed by most hypocrites here, and there's no point in disguising it, I know what's behind every word.

I give you a chance to rethink if you really think I'm gonna waste my time making an offense exchange with someone like you

Please, I know my worth.

Yeah to answer the OP, definitely. Some are incredibly toxic. You get them in every fanbase of course, but LM can be vile.

Yeh little mix are awful

You still replied so...

Or maybe JUST MAYBE you’re the only one thinking that and the rest aren’t as paranoid and UTTERLY INSANE as you appear to be? :)

Racism won’t end also because of people who have the same mindset as yourself. Thinking that a singer you’re obsessed with (who is a woman..) needs to stay in her lane and not do anything because she’s just a singer. That’s what I got from this essay.

The post above summed up: white privilege.

Seriously I can't believe what I am reading and why we're entertaining white racist privileged brat!!!

If you were on Gaga team with that mindset, she would have fired you in seconds and delete you from her life forever!!!
