Would have easily been top 40 if those Thursday sales had not got wandering into a different chart week

52 (NEW) Say Something

Sales: 3218

Yesterday: 1746

Digital: 1174

Streaming: 2044

Video streams: 29,498

186 (RE) Step Back In Time

Sales: 314

Yesterday: 124

Yesterdays rank: 169

Sales WoW +40%

So yesterday she got 1746 sales of the 3218 total? Doesn't seem right to me..... That means on Friday and Saturday combined when streaming and itunes where higher she only sold 1472 sales combined?

Today’s midweeks must include data that was missing in the Saturday/Sunday midweeks, making the daily sales increase higher than what her actual Sunday sales would have truly been.

Same issue is occurring with all songs in the mids, for instance Joel Corry/MNEK - Head & Heart has sold 28,072 so far, and supposedly 13,717 occurred yesterday alone, which is almost 50%.

I imagine under 1,000 yesterday is what Kylie really did.

Last Friday, #100 = 5,025 sales. Kylie has 4 more days to do 2,000+ sales, to be safe to make Top 100.

(If Kylie manages 5,200-ish sales this week, it would likely see her land in the 90s area, or at a push the low 80s).

I never understand why it was released on a Thursday. Maybe it was to achieve an early no1 on iTunes to avoid the competition from other new releases on the Friday but iTunes placings are largely irrelevant these days and it would have landed a better chart placing if it had come out on the Friday instead.

I think the exact same, i dont see any benefits at all of a Thursday or wednesday release.

Only one version showing in Ireland and its number 35 -_-

Thanks for explaining. I bet it is one of those weeks where you need 7000 for top 100 lol

It was a mistake and they realised it.

I bet they didn't think it would sell that many on Thursday..... I think maybe she couldn't get a slot on radio 2 on Friday morning is the main reason.

Anyway all is not lost. They just need to release a 59p download when they release the video with. Nice new download pic

I don’t think they do realise that. McFly’s new single is being released through BMG and is also getting premiered/released on Thursday (same day as their album preorder).

BMG must think they’ll get more attention for their artists on Thursdays.

Crazy isn't it? 🤔

Anyhow Kylie has held up on Itunes today and actually dropped to 16 but back up to 15 and not red in the update. Hopefully she can stay highish (top 40) on itunes ready for new chart week on Friday in case video drops or remixes or any promo, though I think this is more likely on week of August 7th. Visibility is key to Kylie success

They won't change the price of the album version to 59p I wouldn't think. Let's be honest most of the digital sales have been from people buying the album on pre order, the genersl public probably not aware of a new Kylie song.

The 59p version would maybe as a stand alone, but as many think on her, they don't care about the single success, just the album lol.....

I don’t think it was a mistake. There must have been some kind of strategy behind the Thursday release date. I don’t think dancing was out on a Thursday but can’t recall now as I was abroad when that came out.

Billie Eilish releasing Thursday as well but that will work in favour of this artist because streaming will be high and continually
