Disappointing start for Carlisle against Cambridge today. We have signed quite a few new players during the transfer window, they might need time to settle..

Ten EFL Clubs will be permitted to admit spectators into Sky Bet League matches this weekend as part of the ongoing ‘return of fans’ pilot programme.

As per the current guidance, crowds will be capped at a capacity of 1,000 as discussions continue with the Government about return for supporters’ in greater numbers post October 1, 2020.

The move to extend the programme follows a successful pilot staged at Cambridge United last week when fans were in attendance at a professional football match for the first time since March.

The confirmed games for the weekend of 19/20 September, 2020 are as follows:

League Two

Forest Green Rovers v Bradford City

Carlisle United v Southend United

Morecambe v Cambridge United

We seem to be better at home than away. We have won the first Cumbrian derby that has taken place in the League for 56 years, so hopefully we pick up some momentum and improve our away form.

Carlisle's first away win of the season. :w00t: :yahoo: :cheer:

Not getting carried away, honest.

Salford City have sacked boss Graham Alexander and put ex-Manchester United player Paul Scholes in interim charge.

Alexander, 49, led the club to promotion to the English Football League in his first season in 2018-19.

He leaves the club in fifth place in League Two, having gone unbeaten in their first five games this season.

And Salford picked up their first defeat...

Carlisle's impressive home run continues. :cheer:

So will Paul Scholes be the new permanent Salford City manager? I heard former Wigan and Pompey boss Paul Cook turned the job down!

Interesting to know what the policy will be with games postponed due to COVID 19.

I heard that the SPFL was considering disciplinary action after games postponed. Bit harsh in view of the circumstances and the restrictions that are in place.
