Chart Analysis

Sufjan Stevens holds onto the top spot for a 2nd week! Video Game becomes the 3rd song to manage multiple weeks at #1, following Hayley Williams's Simmer and Carly Rae Jepsen's Summer Love. Carly finishes up the top 3 this week with two newly released bonus tracks from her 2015 album E•MO•TION. Other top ten entries come from Troye Sivan and New Politics who both released EPs this week. Just outside the top 10, new peaks are achieved by Alicia Keys with So Done and Conan Gray with Heather. At the very end of the chart we have a few steep falls for Dua Lipa, Kiesza and Taylor Swift, coupled with new entries for Danny L Harle, The Kooks and Katy Perry. Will Sufjan match Simmer's three-week-#1 record next week, could climbers like Conan Gray have a chance of dethroning him, or could a new release from Dua Lipa's Club Future Nostalgia turn into a contender?

Judging by your chart, New Politics appear to have released an album under my radar ;) Giving Holy Grail a listen, sounding decent and I'll need to give the album a listen at some point soon.

 

Nice to see filous/Kooks enter as well, seems to be doing quite well in a few Personal Charts! It's not my favourite Kooks song but I do like the laid back-ness of it, a good song to relax to.

That's right they just released a new EP, it's only three tracks and not quite up to some of their best but it's a fun (if not particularly memorable) listen! I'm enjoying that Kooks song too, nice to hear something new from them.
