September 4, 20206 yr Author So are they just not gonna add Clean Bandit then? Really odd. Still waiting for The Vamps, RAYE, Bastille, Biffy Clyro and Sub Focus/Wilkinson too. 'Midnight Sky' being Tune of the Weekend yet again is a definite mistake, they've obviously forgotten to update it.
September 4, 20206 yr I don’t understand the Blackpink add seems odd for Radio 1. REALLY don’t understand not adding Clean Bandit?! Bizarre.
September 4, 20206 yr great they finally added London Grammar agree, very bizarre they're not adding Clean Bandit also thought they'd add Biffy-Space is the Bastille song a proper single? Looks to me like a buzz track that won't get pushed, hasn't been pushed on streaming either
September 4, 20206 yr Author is the Bastille song a proper single? Looks to me like a buzz track that won't get pushed, hasn't been pushed on streaming either Yeah that's what I'm thinking now, it's a shame though because it's such a great song.
September 4, 20206 yr but what Raye song are you still waiting to be added? that Natalie song from like 2 months ago?
September 4, 20206 yr Author but what Raye song are you still waiting to be added? that Natalie song from like 2 months ago? Yeah. 2 months is nothing, they've waited much longer than that to add songs. I'm pretty sure Natalie's ship has sailed now though :(
September 4, 20206 yr Author I don’t understand the Blackpink add seems odd for Radio 1. Why? They supported 'Kill This Love' last year (and added it a week after release, same as this).
September 4, 20206 yr Why? They supported 'Kill This Love' last year (and added it a week after release, same as this). But Ice Cream is totally cringe and a very clear flop, I just didn’t think they’d of touched it at all this time around.
September 4, 20206 yr I'm fairly surprised they bothered with BLACKPINK here too, especially like has been said it's a clear flop with no hope of being rescued and the reaction to it has been overwhelmingly negative. 'My Oasis' deserved better. :(
September 4, 20206 yr Hopefully Joel will get removed next week as he’s looking to be knocked off the top today
September 4, 20206 yr but you could say the same for Calvin/The Weeknd or the Anne Marie song, and thats been in the playlist for 2 months now
September 4, 20206 yr but you could say the same for Calvin/The Weeknd or the Anne Marie song, and thats been in the playlist for 2 months now The Joel song has now got a reason to be removed from the playlist. As for Anne-Marie, the song should have been removed a while ago as it wasn’t doing anything
September 4, 20206 yr Author 'My Oasis' deserved better. :( Agreed. It's actually been the least supported Sam Smith single since 'Nirvana' in 2013 - 15 singles ago! Edited September 4, 20206 yr by M4NGO
September 4, 20206 yr So next week: London Grammar The Vamps RAYE Clean Bandit Bastille Biffy Clyro Sub Focus/Wilkinson 24KGoldn They've got no excuse not to playlist any of those. Now watch them just add one of them... 2 out of 8 isn’t too bad. I thought Clean Bandit would have been added by now. Not too sure about the rest on that list. Sigala should be added next time too, maybe Rudimental also if it picks up some pace.
September 4, 20206 yr Agreed. It's actually been the least supported Sam Smith single since 'Nirvana' in 2013 - 15 singles ago! His new single Diamonds coming in 10 days... And it's really upbeat and great. So I doubt MO is a single.
September 4, 20206 yr They really don't wanna give up on that Anne-Marie/Doja song do they?! Echoing what Tawdry said, 'My Oasis' deserved so much more :(
September 4, 20206 yr It appears the Tune of The Weekend is Karen Harding and Digital Farm Animals - Undo My Heart. So far Matt and Jordan have both played it.
September 4, 20206 yr Hey! I remember that Jetta song! It was on one of my Playlists Of The Month earlier this year
