December 4, 20204 yr I think it means two groups I would've voted for have completely missed the list, Deacon Blue and Simple Minds! I surprised no-one else gave Simple Minds a single vote. Apart from the the one mentioned, the others I'm surprised completely missed are The Carpenters, Frankie goes to Hollywood and Alt-J. Slightly less surprised by Five Star, Mel n Kim and The Lightning Seeds (although I considered them all!!)

Take That is a shocker I thought dead cert for top 10 even top 5. Another great band and again same as Steps even more so since their comeback

December 5, 20204 yr Arcade Fire :wub: I knew a few other people liked them on here but wouldn't have expected them to be top 20 (are they the first act in any of these polls to come higher than their highest peaking hit?) Bit strange that all their Top 40 hits came in 2005, but understandable with how the market's changed. Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) :heart: is up there with my favourite songs ever. Suburban War is epic too. Not sure if Everything Now is my third favourite of theirs, but it's such a standout moment of their more recent albums that I'll say it is.
