Muse did really well to get to 21st - they would've got my 30 points too so potentially a bit higher if I'd managed to vote on time!!

Depeche Mode are fantastic too but were just outside my top 30.

Wow, really didn't expect Muse and Depeche Mode to finish above S Club 7!

Muse are easily one of my favourite rock bands, 'Absolution' is a stunning album

Depeche Mode are more of a singles band for me than an albums band but that's not to take anything away from them as they have plenty of songs that I love. 'Everything Counts' is a particular favourite and obviously 'Enjoy The Silence' is a classic :)

S Club were fine for what they were, a great pop band who delivered some very catchy songs, 'Don't Stop Movin' is easily my favourite and I still love hearing that when it gets played on the radio!

Can we make predictions for the Top 20 now? :D

Feel free :D

My Depeche Mode favourites are quite obvious choices: Just Can't Get Enough, Enjoy The Silence, Everything Counts. Of course it's sad they never had a Top 3 single, but I do like the fact their 3 joint biggest hits were in different decades.

Starlight by Muse is a huge fave of mine

I have 9 groups left - I'm fairly sure about who 9, probably 10, of the others are. I hope The Verve are the other one but feel like it's more likely to be one I hadn't thought of.

Was wondering when S Club was going to appear.

They have some great pop tunes.

9 acts left in the top 20. I am very happy with that.

Love S Club 7, they certainly filled my cheesy pop bubble when the Spice Girls started to disappear so will always have a special place for me.

Depeche mode I don't know much of their stuff.

Muse I love and voted for, for some reason I thought they had already exited so a nice surprise to see them at 21.

Well I know who my 13 are who are remaining so only 7 that I didn't vote for. That should be a good top 20 for me.

Hoping to see Girls Aloud and Spice Girls in the top 10

These are the 18 I think are definitely still to come:

Abba

All Saints

Blondie

Coldplay

Destiny's Child

Girls Aloud

Little Mix

Oasis

Pet Shop Boys

Queen

Radiohead

Spice Girls

Steps

Sugababes

Take That

The Beatles

The Killers

The Saturdays

Not sure about the other two, but possibly two of:

Ace Of Base

Basement Jaxx

The Stone Roses

The Verve

The Veronicas (unlikely!)

Or maybe someone else who I've completely forgotten!

I can't believe some of the bands in that list will have got zero votes

Well one of the 3 I've still got in the running isn't in your post :D (Can't imagine they'd be much higher as it's not an obvious top 40 staple group).

Intriguing :D

You've mentioned all of my groups in your list of 18.

Unless they already came (but doubt it)... possibly Boyzone, T.a.T.u, or at a distant stretch - Aqua?

Pretty sure we've already had Boyzone, but don't recall the other two having appeared - can't imagine they'd be Top 20 though!

As you've only got 2 of my 3 remaining, I can confirm you have missed Arcade Fire

Muse have generally been a great singles band but Origin of Symmetry aside I've found their albums really hard work, with each one containing fewer highlights.

I have also never got the fuss about Knights of Cydonia, complete overblown tosh. Map of the Problematique is the massive highlight from that album, as well as probably their career (with New Born and Butterflies and Hurricanes my top 3).

Depeche Mode I downloaded both of their Best Of albums and between them make a really good album, there were some songs on them I'd not heard previously like Everything Counts and People are People which I love.

Arcade Fire are Top 20? Would never have predicted that! They did actually occur to me but I quickly dismissed them.

I have the vinyl of the first Depeche Mode release ❤️

The Saturdays are left 🙈

Pussycat Dolls, yeah that's a good shout.

Although that means that not a single vote went to any of these bands:

Ace of Base

The Stone Roses

The Who

The Veronicas

Basement Jaxx

The Charlatans

The Verve

Really shocked The Stone Roses (more than likely) missed out on votes, one of the most iconic and seminal bands of the 90s indie scene.
