I actually quite like it! I'm glad it retains the upbeat vibe of the original and deviates from his usual tired formula a bit.

A 100% improvement on the Tina Turner one anyhow.

It's no Higher Love but definitely more distant than WLGTDWI for me
Yeah this isn't terrible but it doesn't really add anything to the original (apart from a few unnecessary chopped up vocals).
'Higher Love' was one of my 2019 favourites. I wasn't keen on WLGTDWI at first but after listening to it few more times and hearing it on a radio I think it's ok. This is probably my least favourite of the three. It's not terrible but it's not really that exciting after he already released two songs with the same formula.
Shame on you Kygo. :(
Higher Love is still by far and away the best of these remakes but I like this a lot more than What's Love Got to Do With It, and that grew on me! The video's really fun too (and Chase and Madelyn could easily both be in-role as their Outer Banks characters!)

I think the problem is that Higher Love was a remix of a cover so the song felt original and different as we hadn’t really heard the original sung that way before. Whereas WLGTDWI and Hot Stuff are essentially just remixes. If he had Tina Turner cover Hot Stuff in her style THEN have it remixed by Kygo, or Donna Summers cover WLGTDWI and have that remixed by Kygo, I think both could be more successful

Hot Stuff does just feel like a basic remix of the original song

This is just ok. The produx doesn't really enhance it the way it brought out the best (heh) in Tina's vocals on What's Love. While it modernises the original track & brings it back nicely, it's not really doing anything different to the original track to justify this as a remake and not just a reMIX.

I don't know why the production of this reminds me of 'In The Disco' by Deen (Bosnia Eurovision) :kink:

Yes, I remember that entry: it was very Donna Summer! Good on CD but not on stage.
