First episode was great! They chose the right 5 to make the band.

 

Agree, the auditions could be shorter to give more time to the rehearsal stage. It felt like we missed a crucial step where the members get familiar with each other's voices and learn their individual parts - melody, high/low harmonies.

 

Can't wait for the 'industry pros' to come in and assist the girls which will add another layer of credibility to the show. Can't wait for the other categories!

As a Welsh person I feel like I can say that that welsh guy is going to drag an otherwise cool boy band down a bit

I remember Elliott hitting that bum note at the live auditions and the whole room kind of gasped. It was just as bad on tv as I remembered it to be

 

Glad he didn’t make it - his eye winks were not great

Really enjoyed that! Loved everything about it but i would agree with those who have said they felt the auditions should of been a tad shorter. It got so much better when it was the rehearsal stage or the ‘live performance’ bit. Thoroughly enjoyed that though! Cant wait for the next episodes :wub:

Zeekay and Kaci would really work as a duo like they’re the standouts from the band.

 

The boy band as a band for me though didn’t work though with that final line up.

 

The main issue I had tonight was the song choices were a bit straight male predictable type if that makes sense. Plenty safe ballads, mixed with a bit of other X Factor acts type songs too. The only ones who stood out really were Zeekay and Kaci for me. But I do think watching the other bands etc will be interesting and I imagine it’ll be quite a diverse show as well. They do actually give good feedback as well and they all kinda have their own points they like to make as well. I enjoyed seeing the parts were they didn’t agree on people too! But a solid first show.

 

Definitely looking forward to the mixed group and the instrumental groups the most.

I'm routing for the mixed group to be great! When was the last hugely popular mixed vocal pop group?

 

I would love a mixed band to be successful in a huge way again.

I really liked the show. I feel like it picked up more when it got down to the top 10 section and the girls started getting more critical and working with the boys more . It reminded me a bit like Making The Band which was on MTV years ago and was probably one of my favourite talent type shows growing up as it it wasn’t the typical type of singing show . Look forward to the mixed group tomorrow that should be interesting !

Ya I'm excited for what will come of the mixed group, although there is a chance the 3 groups might stay together and get somewhere as there is room in the market for all 3 style of bands.

I see I'm in the v. minority as Elliott was my fave so I was gutted he didn't make the band :kink: Adam and Zeekay were also fab <3

I feel like they chose the correct line up but Elliott and Talis were interchangable for me. Tate was a bit awkward Why do I see "Ladam" becoming a thing haha!!

 

Look forward to the next episodes.

If that's true this is the biggest mistake they've made because they'll never get any shows now with such poor ratings.

 

I didn't think it did that great as bigger shows instantly appear at #1 on Iplayer most popular.

 

1.9M is terrible :(
