On the debate about Bieber its not the peak anymore its the longevity in the chart in terms of streams that makes a hit for example LM got top 10 and number one hits for a decade nearly but now peak between 15-25 and peak first week due to fanbase but then they stay in the chart for 10-15 weeks and its mainly due to streaming demographics rather than not getting number ones anymore, the fact they stay top 40 for ages still is still a sign of a huge hit.

Biography

Honing his skills under the #OFB banner, North London rapper Headie One soon became one of drill's most engaging figures, finding national success alongside RV on the back of iconic mixtape Drillers & Trappers. Moving into solo work during the late 2010s, the rapper found his biggest success to date with 2019 mixtape Music X Road, which landed at fifth place on the U.K. album charts.

Rising from the remnants of North London gang Tottenham Mandem, rap collective Star Gang soon became a hotspot of talent for the North London rap scene, most notably Tottenham's Headie One (born Irving Adjei) and RV. From day one, the duo's synergy on the mike was evident. Working under Star Gang through the early 2010s, the two released early singles like "Youngers from Farm," shifting between more traditional U.K. rap and U.S.-inspired trap for early mixtapes Headz or Tails (Headie One, 2014) and Sticks & Stones (Headie One & RV, 2016). Moving fully into the U.K.'s drill scene, the pair released third mixtape Drillers & Trappers the following year. It was here that the pair truly made their mark: working with producers like MKThePlug and M1OnTheBeat, the duo quickly built a following with their relentless flows and artistic synergy. Marking their singles with the tag #OFB, the duo soon founded drill collective Original Farm Boys, an homage to the Broadwater Farm Estate where they grew up.

Headie continued through the late 2010s with a series of individual releases. His second solo mixtape, The One (2018), produced some of his biggest hits to date, with "Golden Boot" and "Know Better" soon becoming drill staples. After closing out 2018 with third tape The One Two, Headie kicked off 2019 with the long-awaited sequel to Drillers & Trappers, enlisting RV's help for 13-track set Drillers X Trappers II. Heralded by Top 10-charting single "18Hunna," the rapper's fourth tape, Music X Road, arrived later that year; with features including Skepta, Dave, and NAV, the tape pushed Headie's brand of drill into new, inventive directions. A strong working relationship with producer Fred Again produced the late-2019 single "Charades," before the duo linked up in early 2020 for experimental mixtape GANG. - iTunes

Biography

Internet Money

A collective of producers, a record label, and a means of providing online music-making tutorials, Internet Money is the brainchild of Taz Taylor, a producer who got his feet in the industry by selling his beats online. Internet Money launched a knowledge-sharing YouTube channel in late 2016, and three years later started releasing tracks on its like-named label, including their own "Somebody," produced by Taylor and partner Nick Mira.

Taylor, a native Floridian, established himself by selling his early beats online to support himself and his mother, who had been diagnosed with cancer. Once he made some headway, he signed a publishing deal, and in 2017 landed his first credits on commercially released tracks such as Desiigner's "Liife," Kodak Black's "My Klik," and XXXTENTACION'S "f*** Love." Taylor worked on the last of these three with emergent teenaged musician/producer Nick Mira, and the two were soon behind Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams" and Lil Tecca's "Ransom," both of which became Top Ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Around the time the latter hit was taking off in 2019, the label side of Internet Money was officially launched with a Mira-assisted EP by Poorstacy. That October, the label issued "Somebody," credited to Internet Money with Taylor and Mira the producers and Tecca and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie as the featured rappers. - iTunes

Gunna

As a kid growing up just south of Atlanta, rapper Gunna, a.k.a. Sergio iamspamspamami (born 1993), used to practise what he and his friends called “six-month runs”: cut all extraneous spending for six months and save, save, save. The discipline and deferred gratification served him well: After spending his late teens and early twenties quietly exploring his style and releasing only one mixtape, Gunna broke big in 2016 with a feature on Young Thug’s “Floyd Mayweather”—a co-sign that helped him bypass the hustle and made him one of the most sought-after new voices in the game. Later that year, Thug’s YSL label released the first of his multi-part Drip Season series, which synthesised his influences into an airy trap sound: smooth and mellow, blending spacious beats with a relaxed, highly melodic delivery and off-the-cuff humour.

Between a couple more seasons of Drip and features with Travis Scott (“Yosemite”) and Metro Boomin (“Space Cadet”), Gunna also forged a productive collaboration with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, releasing Drip Harder in late 2018. The pairing was anointed GOAT status from a sometime GOAT himself, Future, with whom Gunna also featured on “Unicorn Purp”. Like Thug, Gunna has a thing for fashion; “drip” is his slang for personal style. “The salesmen that know me in Barneys say I smell like Biscotti mixed with Creed,” he raps on “Idk Why”, from his official 2019 debut album, Drip or Drown 2. - iTunes

It's 2020. Can we stop pitting female artists against other female artists for good?

Sorry, I do apologise.

I apologise for that.

No surprises in the end then.
Positions will be taking its position at the summit this time next week...
I don't dislike Lemonade but I'm not overly enthusiastic about it either, would have preferred Ain't It Different at #1, I've been really enjoying it this week!

Biography

Armed with a mesmerizing, nimble soprano—and a vocal register often likened to Mariah Carey’s and Christina Aguilera’s—Ariana Grande began her career as a child star on Broadway and Nickelodeon before transforming into a pop and R&B powerhouse. Instantly recognizable thanks to her signature ponytail, cat ears, babydoll dresses, and breezy self-confidence, her slyly sexual personal brand has, like that of the Spice Girls before her, become an iconic image of young female power. But Grande is more than a symbol: Over the course of several albums and scores of hit singles—beginning with 2013’s “The Way” (featuring Mac Miler) through The Weeknd-assisted “Love Me Harder” and “Break Free” (featuring Zedd)—she has consistently outshined her male collaborators and deftly parlayed her stardom into activism. An LGBTQ advocate and outspoken feminist (“I’m tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present, or future PROPERTY,” she tweeted in 2016), she uses her platform to confront issues like misogyny, sexism, homophobia, and bullying, spreading a message of love over all. Nowhere was this more clear than in May 2017: After terrorists attacked her concert in Manchester, England, killing 22 and injuring hundreds, Grande continued her tour. "Perspective changes your life,” she told Beats 1’s Ebro Darden. "You want to stay in the moment and try not to give into fear, because obviously the whole point of finishing the tour was being there for my fans. You want to set the same example and keep going.” And that she did: Her Max Martin-produced smash “No Tears Left to Cry,” an escapist dance-floor triumph released a year after the attack, sends a message of hope and healing, with a dose of hear-me-roar attitude. - iTunes

Biography

Little Mix are a British girl group formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the UK version of The X Factor. They were the first group to win the competition, and following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. The members are Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson.

Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US. This made Little Mix the first girl group since the Pussycat Dolls to reach the US top five with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut US chart position for a British girl group's first release, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls. The group's second album Salute (2013) became their second album to debut inside the top 10 in both the UK and US. Their third album Get Weird was released in 2015. Their fourth album Glory Days (2016) became their first number one album in the UK, and also achieved the longest-reigning girl group number one album since the Spice Girls' debut album 20 years earlier, and the highest first week UK album sales for a girl band since 1997. In the UK, the group has earned four number-one singles, including "Wings", "Black Magic" and "Shout Out to My Ex".

The group won Best British Single for "Shout Out to My Ex" at the 2017 Brit Awards; they have also received several other awards during their career, including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards. As of August 2018, the group has achieved four platinum certified albums and sixteen certified singles in the UK. Little Mix appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in the UK. - Wikipedia

oh my who was the guy interviewed? I bet he didn't even know where the UK is :D

I know 2020 has been a wild year but if someone told me last year Don Toliver (one of my favourite Urban artists right now) would have a UK #1, I would have laughed in their face.

Lemonade deserves the success, its amazing!
