Yes! I don’t care what anyone says, I’m always up for a Janine return.

I'm nervous about how Janine will be treated with the state of the writing at the moment :s

The writing has veered between mediocre and dreadful for at least 5 years. I’m confident Charlie won’t allow the character to be ruined.

I’m guessing her return will be her in charge of something, possibly queen vic! I’m thinking it will be a short term thing until she returns to theatres

Thats my worry about Janines return is how they will write for her, the scriptwriters heavily lack consistency and imagination for a while now.

I just find Eastenders should have taken a break for a month, its going to get lost with al the chopping and changing, plus at the moment, the show is not going anywhere

It took a covid break and it dudnt help them make many improvements, they badly need new talent overseeing the show.

I’ve only seen the first episode so far but I’d say acting doesn’t run in the family, I’ve never rated Danny Dyer either. It’s actually embarrassing watching them together.

 

Once again though the ‘couple that will never split up’ are keeping secrets from one another.

And there’s something unsettling about pregnant Louisa Lytton acting out miscarriages.

It is unsettling and it must be horrible to act out when actually pregnant.

I think she was fine as well tbh . People were always going moan or complain somewhat at them both together but she was ok .

 

So are we supposed to buy that Nancy and Frankie are such big jerks they’d ruin Sonia’s day on purpose? It’s very out of character for both of them.

I thought Dani Dyer's cameo was pointless but decent. Hollyoaks have had far worse actors.

 

JANINE :wub: I share the concerns that the current writers are not up to it at the moment, however I think Charlie just elevates everything she's given so hopefully it's more of the same Janine that we love.

Watching Janine in Eastenders 2009 right now and Charlie is such a talented actress. I think she may be able to pull off anything. I’m still fairly confident given that in past dodgy times for the show, Janine has always shone.
