Posted October 27, 20204 yr 3 big album Ariana Grande positions Sam Smith Love Goes Cliff Richard Music The Air I Breathe To get Top 5 M Huncho & Nafe Smallz DNA Not sure end up U2 The Who Amy Macdonald Elvis Costello Dizzee Rascal What everyone think top 5 album look like on 6th November chart
October 27, 20204 yr I'd predict 1. Ariana Grande (50k) 2. Sam Smith (30k) 3. Cliff Richard 4. Bruce Springsteen 5. Pop Smoke M Huncho & Nafe Smallz - top 10
October 27, 20204 yr I have a feeling both Ariana and Sam will be in the 41-50k range, leaning towards thinking Ari will get the #1 but not by a huge margin! I think M Huncho & Nafe Smallz should be ahead of Pop Smoke, Huncho's last album opened with 12.7k and the lead single from this project charted higher than anything off that one so I'd expect it will at the very least do 10k+ again. Probably a decent chance of getting #4 behind Ari/Sam/Cliff.
October 27, 20204 yr poor brave Amy McDonald releasing in such competitive week she has had two Number 1 albums + two Number 2s out of four releases but always picking up easy weeks, so she won't make top 2 this time it seems...
October 27, 20204 yr Is there a minimum length for an album to qualify for the charts these days? Bring Me The Horizon are releasing a new EP / mini-album that, if eligible, should easily make the top 10.
October 27, 20204 yr if it's either more than 4 songs or Over 25 minutes then it qualifies there is also minimum price
October 27, 20204 yr It's 9 songs and about 30 mins, so will be eligible. But the physicals aren't out until January 21st, where tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it makes the top 3
October 27, 20204 yr i dont think Sam smith is an album selling force like they used to be...Their new album was preceded by several singles some of which were quasi- flops , so i think it will be an easy win for Ariana regardless of her album’s quality...
October 27, 20204 yr Sam's singles haven't done as well as previous eras but they still haven't done that badly - I expect their album sales to go down substantially but they're starting from a high place ('The Thrill Of It All' opened with 97k), I don't see why they wouldn't still at least be competitive with Ariana who historically isn't THAT big of an album seller.
October 27, 20204 yr You can laugh at how precise my predictions are but: Ariana 42k Sam 36k Cliff 21k M Huncho & Nafe Smallz 8,6k Amy Macdonald 6,8k U2 5,8k The Who 4,2k Elvis Costello 4,1k Dizzee Rascal 1,6k And I think U2 can be a dark horse of the chart race and surprise us with even higher sales than what I've predicted!
October 27, 20204 yr What U2 album is being re-issued? EDIT: I see from the release schedule, it's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind', not their biggest album so I doubt it will do huge numbers. Edited October 27, 20204 yr by M4NGO

October 27, 20204 yr Jane McDonald for top 10! I was joking about this but I didn't realise her last album did actually go top 10 with 8.7k sales!
October 27, 20204 yr I hope Ariana gets it but I am nervous I potentially underestimated Sam! Like their last album was bigger than any Ariana album despite it being a come down on the massive debut era that Sam had. They’ve also had a pre order for longer and more likely to sell physical copies too. The only market Ariana will definitely slay on is streams but even Sam is someone who does pretty well on Streams. I’m potentially thinking Ariana will still get it but the reviews of her album as well aren’t that strong where as Sam’s reviews are strong. It could be closer than people imagine between those
