Me and Jay are just after midnight. Yep the vinyl is slowly climbing again, I'm hoping the girls social media has sponsored posts tomorrow and they send out an email.

Yeah true. They sent out a Throwback post today, which is a missed opportunity. Like, they could have posted something about Forever throwback and promo the vinyl lol

Just got the dispatch email for my vinyl :cheer:

I'm so glad they did something nice with it and not just chucked it out there like Spiceworld and the last GH. Forever deserves to shine!

Completely agree :heart: I'm honestly quite shocked that care and attention went into this reissue lol, very happy of course! The edited back cover with a picture is a nice touch.

 

Odai on spice circle has made some amazing 15 second videos to promote the Forever vinyl on social media. They are so professional and amazingly done and there are videos for album tracks too. Below is the Google drive link to watch and download them.

Who else is downloading the album after midnight?

 

Me :cheer: I might went until a couple of minutes after midnight to be on the safe side :lol:

I hope it all goes to plan, with me in Ireland i cant help but would be more than happy to see it make a chart return.

Question related to streaming:

 

Last week, when Little Mix were trying to win a #1, they stated on Wednesday that midnight of that day is the cut off point for streams to count. Does that mean that the Thursday streams count for the following week?

 

If so, technically would the streams that happen today for Forever count towards the chart that otherwise starts on Friday? :drama: :huh:

Unfortunately not! Thursday streams are just lost in the ether. OCC estimates the Thursday streams based on the previous 6 days of streaming.

 

So we shall stream from Friday to Wednesday, and then sit back on Thursday :heehee:

Really? That is such a strange rule. Why not just announce the chart on Saturday but have everything counting Friday - Thursday? That way you count everything on Friday before releasing it all on Saturday. Makes sense to me lol

 

Isnt that what happens in the USA? They release the charts on Tuesday isnt it?

That would make so much more sense! I'd honestly prefer it. It's always niggled me that the chart includes what is essentially 'fake data'. You're right about the US, they announce their chart a few days after the tracking week is over.
