I'm such a rubbish writer so can we think of a short and sweet piece to to paste onto social media for the FOREVER campaign.

 

November 20th sees the release of the FOREVER' vinyl, the Spice Girls' third and final studio album, originally released in 2000.

 

20 years later, the Spice Fans are on a mission to make the album chart again and we need YOUR help.

 

Between Friday 20th November and Thursday 26th November be sure to buy your copy of the 'FOREVER' album!

I wouldn't mind (as a casual buyer) spending £3.99 on an album on iTunes so let's hope it get into the iTunes chart at least.

It takes like 4 or 5 sales to go top 100 on itunes so we on here just need to decide what time to all download together on the friday for max impact

Chris who is well known throughout the fan base has done a tweet playing on Holler being under appreciated with a link to the Forever vinyl in an attempt to make it go viral. I'd asked one of the fans to do this on spice circle to see if we could get some traction with a tweet. Holler tends to get a lot of love on social media as an underrated gem so worth a try. Link to the tweet below if you could RT and like that would be awesome. Let's see if we can do something positive as a fan base!

Can we be absolutely sure that having a VPN on works towards streaming and downloading counting for the UK? My bank card is registered to the UK and the VPN being logged on to there should help it :teresa: but I hope we have confirmation that it works?!

Yeah I hope so. With streaming though, it is hard to tell if it worked at all or not.. BUt I will be doing it yes

Guys we need to decide on a time for us all to download Forever on the 20th. If we all do it about the same time it will have the most impact. I think there are 2 options -

 

Just after midnight so it is high in the morning

 

Or like 8am so it is high during the day.

 

I think if we leave it any later in the day then people might think it isn't worth it if it isn't top 100 already by the evening.

 

Any thoughts?

OK Ive joined that group. I dont really mind what time we do it though

I'm going to download on Amazon straight after midnight thursday night, Amazon won't be as important visibility wise as itunes. I think as a fan base we need to make sure Forever is minimum top 100 Friday morning.

I ordered the vinyl a while ago, and I’ll definitely be downloading on iTunes on Friday! I’ll download just after midnight.

 

If all of us download between 12:01am and 1:00am, it should help make the album appear high up the iTunes chart.

 

Last week, just over 50 downloads was enough to make the official charts Top 100 download chart!

I'm in, vinyl pre-ordered and will download from Amazon at midnight. My first ever album download, I went from physical straight to streaming.

Amazon Italy has a pic of the back cover of the vinyl and it looks great. It has the pic of them from the side on it and the website/social media accounts. A lot more effort has gone into this than the copy and paste jobs of the Spice and Spiceworld reissue vinyls.
