Posted November 17, 20204 yr So the world’s biggest boy group are back this Friday with their 5th studio album titled ‘Be’. What are your predictions for its opening week? Personally considering the huge success of Dynamite (and the fact that it’s included on the album and still going strong) and also Christmas sales, I can see this marking their biggest debut yet. The big question is will it become the second-fastest selling album of the year? I say second as I don’t see them topping AD/DC’s set-to-be huge opening this week. The tracklist can be found below, I’m really excited for ‘Life Goes On’ as it is said to be “classic BTS” - their first number-one single perhaps? @1326177837552816128

November 17, 20204 yr Obviously it will be huge, do they sell well on physicals? I’ve just seen the deluxe version is £49.99 on HMV
November 17, 20204 yr I think they’ll sell more than their last album but less than what Kylie, Gaga and Bruce did maybes just under 50k like what Little Mix managed but with a #1 debut.
November 17, 20204 yr Author I think they’ll sell more than their last album but less than what Kylie, Gaga and Bruce did maybes just under 50k like what Little Mix managed but with a #1 debut. Yeah I’m thinking a number-one debut with around 48k
November 17, 20204 yr I think they could easily do 50-60K if they already did 37K on Feb considering now is Q4 and they've had a big proper hit this time
November 17, 20204 yr Forgot they had an album in feb it’s like an old chart act have two albums in one year, this could do double the first album this year
November 20, 20204 yr Author I don’t see Life Goes On making too much of a splash as it is a ballad in Korean, however still have high hopes for the album to perform really well
November 23, 20204 yr #2 with 15k today - I think it'll stay in that position and will get to around #22k. So most here have been wrong as it stands!
November 23, 20204 yr ^not sure, I just checked and last time their updates were very very irregular and weird, like 3k one day, 7k next day, 500 copies the next...
November 23, 20204 yr BTS - Map of the Soul : 7 daily sales using the midweek updates Monday sales: +7.4k Tuesday sales: +2.7k Wednesday sales: +1.7k Thursday sales + upweighted data: +2.3k Not a particularly erratic pattern? Just an unsurprisingly frontloaded release.
