December 2, 20204 yr There are 2 songs this month that have already made my chart, although they've both ended up in the opposite semi from me - one of those rather shockingly coming from Oslol of all people (and the other is Land of DW which is less surprising). Hype to those two! Also was an interesting surprise to see 'Prisencolinensinainciusol' popping up as an entry here from someone other than Harmonica :o (Jordan posted that song as his country's national anthem a few years ago :cheeseblock: seems like a fairly random detail to remember but it is a pretty unforgettable song...) Excited to hear FalKKonE's take on Mozart after how much I loved his entry from Nuggets as well. x Most of the songs that I already know are not in my semi, think there are 3 or 4 in my semi that I've already heard as well though - I am quite here for King Gizzard finally making their BJSC debut, not quite a top tier song from them for me (should have gone all out and sent something from their thrash metal era xx) but still pretty good and will no doubt grow on me. Similarly I do like 'Sky2Fall' but why send that when 'Live 4ever' is right there!! I've had Jorge Elbrecht on my radar for a little while (think I originally came across him due to him having a collab with Ariel Pink a while back), was waiting for him to drop the right song to send here and the time has finally come, hope you guys are here for an entirely too overdramatic 80s pastiche with a gloriously over the top music video to match x

December 2, 20204 yr Author Let the record reflect that the capitalisation of the title of my entry is the host’s emphasis!me watching a stream of Final Fantasy VII Remake and hearing Cloud’s voice Not the host, it was me editing it to match how it is stylised on every music platform x (although Cody did undo a few of my other minor tinkerings with capitalisations so maybe he did particularly like the look of that song title being in all caps)i only fixed Niki’s bc it felt weird in caps, everything else I just copied and pasted bc I had nothing else to do (fortnite was down)

Aeroche, Land of DW and Fljotavik, I see you too :wub: This feels like more hype than I've gotten pre-plug session ever, so thank you both so much! I recognize a few songs from both semis, but I'm really excited to dive in and give everything a listen!

If I'd known it when you first announced it I would have entered it then cos I lurrrrve it! :lol: Lots of highlights for me, unusually knowing some already. Jam & Spoon is a fab track, big top 10 back in the day in our charts, fun to see Alice deejay, and tracks from former fave BJSC entries Captain Cuts & Javiera Mena. Javiera is one of our all-time fave discoveries from the contest with the absolutely glorious Otra Era, I even tried to learn the Spanish-language lyrics to singalong to. I see Sudeonia went for the camp option :lol: Holy Shades of Floral Dance, Xmas 1977! Look forward to hearing that one :) And a recent track that also charted for us, the fab Ariana & The Rose, a former Singerpurear act. Then there's something called Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, one of my fave classical tunes (Mozart) from my pre-teen days, love that tune. Hoping it's the same one.... Fab!
