Is that a new peak for No Time For Tears?

yes, it previously peaked at 53.

looks like this won't be the week the GP finally get bored of Mr. Brightside then...

Not a great start for Clean Bandit though it's worth remembering they've always climbed to their peaks. I posted this when Tick Tock came out but no harm in reminding, this is how long every single of theirs has taken to peak in the "on air on sale" era without 6 weeks of pre-orders and build up:

6-5-... Tears [2 weeks, accelerated by BGT performance in release week]

7-3-1-... Rockabye [3 weeks]

6-4-3-4-2-1-... Symphony [6 weeks]

28-23-14-11-6-9-10-8-18-6-5-4-... I Miss You [12 weeks]

12-10-6-2-1-... Solo [5 weeks]

33-38-32-26-25-24-25-49-15-... Baby [9 weeks]

36-20-14-12-13-11-13-12-8-... Tick Tock [9 weeks]

None of them peaked in week 1 of course, and Tears was given a huuuge leg-up by the accompanying BGT performance. Obviously Rockabye, Symphony and Solo were always destined to be huge so it makes sense they were the highest debuts otherwise, but worth noting that I Miss You is also over 1m chart sales, so despite a slower start and a muuuuuch longer climb to its peak, it was still a big hit.

As for what this means for Higher, we'll see I suppose - it'll likely debut lower than any of those (certainly makes sense compared to Tick Tock, considering iann dior is not as big a name as Mabel) and I can imagine it won't be quite as big in the long run too, but there's every chance it'll recover itself somewhat after a not-brilliant opening couple of days.

Noticed that the 34+35 Remix is down to #200 already, I know it’s not the version on HHUK but I really expected it to hold up better than this. Also shout out to “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” making an appearance at #193, don’t think I’ve seen that in the top 200 before

considering the very poor start and that it's a very weak song by their standards, I'd be surprised if 'Higher' ends up with a top 20 peak, which would be quite the poor result for them considering they've never missed top 20 with a pre-album single since Rather Be started their run.

I personally think Clean Bandit have passed their peak overall, their sound hasn’t changed enough and each release is likely to have finishing returns.

Anyone know what ‘Without You’ and ‘Heatwaves’ peaks are on Apple?

I wouldn’t say they’ve passed their peak when their most successful singles have come from their last album. I’m sure they’re fully capable of a big single, higher unfortunately just isn’t it

Yeah particularly with producers you never know when they're going to have an even bigger smash or who they're working with

Don't think anyone expects a CB track to peak in week 1 (except Evertoin who thought they were gonna debut at #1 beating Olivia) :)

it takes weeks for dance track to get going on Spotify until they get full support, it's always a slow race with dance tracks

moreover, Iann Dior has very little name power

But the perspectives are not very good so far, despite being track #2 on NMF and insta-added quite high on HH,

it only debuted at #82 and today they're at the bottom of the top 200, doesn't look like a very promising start

and they've still not managed top 200 on Apple

wonder if Higher does nothing, maybe they'll call it a pre-album buzz single,

drop it and release the track with MNEK instead

If that had happened, Everton would be the greatest chart predictor.
