Creedence Clearwater Revival - Up Around The Bend

Kelis featuring Andre 3000 - Millionaire

The Killers - Human

Oceanic - Insanity

Two songs by The Killers have received votes, one has done very well but this one, which I prefer, hasn't. Insanity by Oceanic is still in the 1991 Survivor Poll in the Pre-2000s forum but it doesn't survive for long here.

City High - What Would You Do?

Chairmen Of The Board - Give Me Just A Little More Time

Alexis Jordan - Happiness

Level 42 - Lessons In Love

No Doubt - Just A Girl

Sabrina - Boys (Summertime Love)

Santana featuring Rob Thomas - Smooth

The Seahorses - Love Is The Law

Usher - U Remind Me

This was Level 42's highest charting single and my favourite song by them, of the ones I know. Also here is another early 70s soul classic, this time by Chairmen Of The Board and Sabrina, a favourite of every teenage boy in 1988.

I liked Kylies cover of Give Me A Little More Time

Human is the Killers best hit and I remember Smooth was played everywhere in 2000 but rarely hear it nowadays

I've lost three now. Knew the Seahorses probably wouldn't get many other votes, but pretty surprised Love Shine A Light didn't either

I'm taking 30 at the top of a list to mean 30 points.

If you had counted DarrenJ nominations this way, 'The Love I Lost' would have had much more points than 14.

Well spotted. My scoresheets are in alphabetical order by artist. As Vibe put the artist as Sybil on his vote I have 'The Love I Lost' under S and W. I will now combine its two scores.
Oceanic's 'Insanity' is SUCH a tune and its follow up 'Wicked Love' wasn't bad either

I'm not sure if I undertood your reply.

I think 'The Love I Lost' got 40 points. 25 from DarrenJ77, 14 from vibe and 1 point from me, right?

Nobody else voted for Smooth! And I gave City High 14/16 of its points!

Yes, it had 14 points under G and 26 points under W. So two scores from 3 people.

David Bowie - Sound And Vision

DJ Fresh vs Jay Fay featuring Ms Dynamite - Dibby Dibby Sound

Post Malone - Wow

Suzi Quatro - 48 Crash

Bobby Vee - The Night Has A Thousand Eyes

From 1973, this was Suzi Quatro's follow-up to her no.1 single, Can The Can. She went on to have one more no.1. A great song by David Bowie is here along with the oldest single to receive a vote. The Night Has A Thousand Eyes is from February 1963 and was one of seven top 10 hits for Bobby Vee.

I've lost three now. Knew the Seahorses probably wouldn't get many other votes, but pretty surprised Love Shine A Light didn't either

I thought I'd voted for Seahorses, but must have just missed out. Think I've only lost Songbird (1) and Purple Haze (11) so far. Definitely some dropped out I thought would do much better, Human probably the most notable.

Betty Boo - Where Are You Baby?

The 411 - Dumb

R Kelly - She's Got That Vibe

Little Mix - DNA

MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This

Vanessa Paradis - Joe Le Taxi

Sam Smith and Normani - Dancing With A Stranger

Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman Ensemble - This Is Me

Stevie Wonder - Lately

Tying in with the TOTP repeats on BBC4 is U Can't Touch This which samples Super Freak by Rick James. It won't be long on TOTP (August 1990) before we see Betty Boo's highest charting single. Vanessa Paradis was only 14 years old when she recorded Joe Le Taxi.

The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian

Beyonce featuring Bun B and Slim Thug - Check On It

Dr Dre featuring Snoop Dog - The Next Episode

Girls Aloud - Call The Shots

The Mamas and the Papas - Monday Monday

Wet Wet Wet - If I Never See You Again

The Bangles' second top 3 single from 1986, the first was Manic Monday which leads us nicely to Monday Monday which was a hit for the Mamas and the Papas in 1966. Buzzjack's third favourite group, Girls Aloud, have already lost both of their songs. Their other number 3, Something Kinda Ooooh, received no votes at all.

Edited by King Rollo

I was the only one to show Stevie's 'Lately' any love. :( Good to see I wasn't the only one giving 'Monday Monday' some points. :cheer:

Also a victory for taste with 'Life Got Cold' receiving points while 'Something Kinda Ooooh' didn't. :P

Big Brovaz - Nu Flow

Dido - Thank You

DB Boulevard - Point Of View

Jamelia - Superstar

Jennifer Lopez - Play

The Ordinary Boys - Boys Will Be Boys

Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat

A one hit wonder from 2002, I would have liked to have given points to both this and Walk Like An Egyptian but there were too many good songs ahead of them. Thank You by Dido became a hit four years after it was recorded after being sampled in Stan by Eminem.

I'm shocked I'm the only person who voted for Betty Boo :( 'Where Are You Baby' is so much fun. In fact I've been the only voter for all my songs which have left so far. I think that might be the last one now, although there's a chance I'm the only voter for my 30 pointer!
