January 3, 20214 yr Only seen "Underwater" and "Freaky" out of those and they were both great so I agree! I also quite liked "Spontaneous" and "The Invisible Man" although I'm not sure if either fully classifies as horror? "The Hunt" was also good. While "Antebellum" wasn't quite as good as I hoped it would be I enjoyed it too. Also, depending on if you consider it a horror-esque movie or not (I wouldn't), "Love & Monsters" was great!
January 3, 20214 yr Author I loved Spontaneous too but I didn't consider it horror so much as comedy. Invisible Man was probably my fave film of the year but I left out stuff that everyone will have seen. Haven't got around to The Hunt or Love & Monsters yet but both are on my list
January 3, 20214 yr I can't recommend 'Host' enough to people. It's SO well done and made. Also it's less than an hour long, so if anyone wants to give it a go, it's about the length of a Netflix episode! The biggest surprise of 2020 for me. 'His House' was good. I found it a bit overrated though. I think it felt a bit TOO BBC to me. Not sure if I'd recommend it based on how I felt about it, but Hotel Lake on Shudder might be to some people's tastes. I thought the start was strong and the ending was decent, but everything in the middle was a bit boring. However, I think some people may like it, so might be worth a look out, if you're looking for recommendations? I need to see majority of your others though! 'Freaky' and 'Sputnik' especially. Been looking forward to those.
