John, it maybe that Cat's family are erring on the side of caution, with the uncertainty of online relationships. Maybe Cat's family need more time to get to know you before they feel safe leaving their daughter with a comparative stranger. Hope it works out.

No what i meant, dont try to impress them. It's there daughters life, she should take controll and make her own decisions. Of course you have to be nice and that, but they SHOULD pay you some repect though

Maybe you just need to show them that you and Cat can stand the test of time - keep at it - being the perfect gentleman you are. It takes time and its a pain in the ass but I relaly dont see any other otpions that wouldn't result in murder etc.
