Judas was a bad choice, TEOG would've gone number #1 everywhere for sure.

This! To be honest, I would have launched the era with TEOG and had BTW as the SECOND single. I'd have gone for Scheisse third, Marry The Night fourth, You and I fifth, and maaybe Judas or Hair as a sixth. The important bit would be keeping all 4 major singles with a cohesive sound for the era. I just don't see any other song being commercial on the album. I don't think MTN has aged well at all, and it is in desperate need of some REAL instrumentation, but it would have done well back then in a cohesive campaign.

Definitely one of her best and would have been HUGEEEE if it was released as the second single (as much as I love Judas as well). It is just such an anthem and has the euphoric instrumental that reminds me of Kylie's All The Lovers.

The "simple" video compared to her more elaborate ones works brilliantly for the song. It is Gaga captivating the screen for near 6 minutes - you can't take your eyes off of her. And I think the song is fairly well remembered in that it is done on talent shows/I hear it on the radio (Heart FM were playing it only yesterday when I sat in the car as it happens). In the UK at least, I think it's one of the songs of hers that has stood the test of time superbly.

The peak is fairly low objectively speaking but about right for a 3rd single. It outpeaked 'Judas' and obviously has far surpassed the sales of that too. It's about double the sales figure of that!

I am sure we will get to them eventually when the day comes, but 'The Edge of Glory' live + acoustic is always a divine treat. The Radio 1 Big Weekend performance in particular omg <3

I wish we got acoustic versions of these songs on streaming services :snif:
