Yonaka have released the lead single, "Seize The Power" from their upcoming second album today, the follow-up to their 2019 debut album "Don't Wait 'Til Tomorrow"

 

I'm really enjoying this on first listen, a good change in direction!

 

Love their first album.

 

I like this, but I'm not loving it to the extent of any of the first album singles atm. But I sense that once I'm used to the structure, I could get into it quite a bit!

a definite shift in sound for them! I do like it but It's still to hit me fully tbh

Yeah I have to think about who it is when it comes up on my playlist :lol: it'll be interesting to see if anything else on the new album is like this!

Second single "Ordinary" is out today! Think I'm preferring this to the lead, it's quite epic

 

I thought Seize The Power was great Not quite up there with their earlier stuff but it may come to love it more.

 

Not sold on Ordinary yet but need to listen some more

Third single 'Call Me a Saint' is out now. Lyrically the song deals with mental health battles and is much more typical of their usual work.

 

Hearing them on Annie Mac a lot and really like ‘Ordinary’!

'Mixtape' "Seize The Power" is out on July 15th! New single 'Raise Your Glass' also came out yesterday, which is probably my favourite so far!

Oh yes I really enjoyed Raise Your Glass! I think it is even better than Seize Your Power, probably because I have soft spot with ballads. Theresa's vocals shone through in the last chorus with that high note!
