Lil Tjay/6LACK up to #2 on Apple...!

 

I did notice that 6LACK was trending on Twitter in the UK last night so there must have been some anticipation for this for whatever reason - just Googled it and apparently it is a song that has had a snippet floating around for a few months.

 

Can't say it's a collab that fills me with excitement, most of what I have heard from both artists has been pretty boring (or worse) so hopefully this will be a bit better if it's already shaping up to be a huge hit.

sure the whole point of Taylor re-doing Love Story is for it not to be combined with the original :)

It's so she has ownership of the songs again (at least in these new versions), being combined for chart purposes or not has no bearing on that. I would assume it will be combined but as usual with questions like this the answer is 'wait and see' (if we will even be able to see), there's little use in predicting what the OCC are going to do with anything.

Need to see the Spotify numbers to be sure but Lil Tjay looking like he has a decent chance of debuting at #1, he's doing better out of the gate than you'd expect on iTunes and especially Amazon.

 

I don't know how widespread this was but I literally got an email from Spotify telling me about the new version of 'Love Story' (Jade told me she got one too) lol ~ Inb4 this ends up being a bigger hit than anything off her last 2 albums.

 

'UK Hun?' is up to #78 on Apple, coming to repeat the top 40 success of 'Break Up Bye Bye'? (No idea how that did on Apple but it peaked at #98 on Spotify).

 

Pretty good showing for slowthai on Apple with 13/14 songs in the top 200 ('feel away' is the only one missing out, currently at #211, and that was already a minor hit when it was first released). Won't hold my breath for him getting a first top 40 hit (his highest song is still only #46) but hopefully he should get one or two new top 100 hits + maybe a re-entry for 'MAZZA'.

funnily that was what I was expecting when Cardi released her new but didn't do that much

and I agree it has a chance at #1, especially if it's #20 on Amazon, which is very anti this kind of songs

 

and Love Story being so high!!! I would think they are gonna consider it a new song/new entry

just cos it's on a new label and thats what the OCC always does when a song is reissued on another label

just the label change makes it a new song for the OCC

 

it will also be easy to see, if it's consider the same and combined it should be on ACR this week

but if not, it should be on normal ratio

Calling My Phone is great, but doesn't really feel like a #1 to me. But the start is very strong on AM it seems.
