February 6, 20214 yr Author He plays the ukulele and the song will be presented on February 25th and I am scared to hear it.
February 6, 20214 yr Without hearing it this feels like it could go one of two ways. TikTok viral and top five, or a dire misfire and last place.
February 6, 20214 yr Without hearing it this feels like it could go one of two ways. TikTok viral and top five, or a dire misfire and last place. It's for this exact reason that I'm bizzarely intrigued as to what Germany have got up their sleeve.
February 24, 20214 yr This is out at 6pm CET tomorrow but the clip, erm........ TgYZ9HaHT_g Ofc we should wait for the full song but CHRIST what is this
February 24, 20214 yr Come on car crash entry!! Giving me slight Electro Velvet vibes when the beat drops and the title is also... a choice. 'Don't mind me just mmmmblocking out the haters!' any song addressing hate or haters is rarely good.
February 24, 20214 yr There’s a longer preview on Twitter: https://twitter.com/eurotarantulas/status/1...4946764802?s=21 It has shades of Sebalter and Alf Poier, I can see it either coming top ten or last on the televote (these things can go either way) and tanking with the juries. Either way I’m not entirely sure what Germany were thinking but I guess they’re aiming to get a TikTok hit out of it. I guess stranger things have happened.
February 24, 20214 yr Author I don't think it would come last in the televote, it's VERY instant and catchy no matter how annoying some people will find it and I think it will get a surprisingly decent result (surprising to the people who should take the title on board). I think this is the song I'm gonna ironically stan this year.
February 24, 20214 yr Sounds like something from a cereal advert. Itll have its fans but I’ll pass thank you.
February 24, 20214 yr It does feel like it's either a Jason-Mraz-esque sweet song or a cringefest, hopefully not the latter though! Edited February 24, 20214 yr by uhsting
February 24, 20214 yr what is it with countries sending songs that are worse than last year's entries? Like, only Czechia has improved. Ukraine and France may have also improved but not to a degree that that I can actually enjoy listening to. Edited February 24, 20214 yr by Colm
February 24, 20214 yr This is a bit messy, lord. But at least messy might get them some televotes. :/
February 24, 20214 yr How did That's How You Write A Song do on televotes? I feel like this gives off those vibes but without the star power name behind it?
February 24, 20214 yr Author How did That's How You Write A Song do on televotes? I feel like this gives off those vibes but without the star power name behind it? 11th in the final, and it was the combined winner of semi 2. That's the comparison I had in mind too When Germany came last or near last with "Black Smoke", "Ghost" and "Perfect Life", those songs were pretty boring/mediocre and I'm sure Jendrik will bring a very charismatic performance. It's better to have a marmite entry than one that everyone is collectively 'meh' about (hi Spain) and it's a bit of fun during a gloomy time, I think it could squeeze out a top 15.
February 24, 20214 yr This will probably do well. Let’s remember Eurovision is light, frothy entertainment and this will transcend countries and demography. Thankfully the juries will be there to hopefully throw it under the bus (but even they might find it somewhat endearing).
