24kGoldn's debut album "El Dorado" will be released on March 26th! There are 13 tracks: with "Mood", "Coco" and "3, 2, 1" confirmed - that one is out tonight. Sounds pretty good from the iTunes preview - though I think it sounds a bit too similar to Mood?

I don't understand how Coco failed so badly; unless it was just because it was released at completely the wrong time (December) with all the Christmas songs clogging up the charts and not giving it a chance.

I guess you've got to remember that Mood blew up because of TikTok. With a lot of hits like that, it's the song that's popular rather than the artist.

I just thought with a DaBaby feature and a R1 Playlist it might have cracked the Top 100.

Not quite as bothered by 3, 2, 1 on one listen. Coco deserved much more than it got - perhaps released a bit too soon after Mood?

I don't think 'being released too soon' is an adequate explanation for it not charting at all in either the UK or the US, I think the song just completely failed to catch on and 24kGoldn isn't the kind of artist who actually has a following, he's just good at making viral hits when he wants to be. 'Coco' grew on me a fair bit from first listen but it's still quite a damp squib of a song compared to 'Mood', the hook just doesn't hit in nearly the same way.

I’m just listening to Love or Lust as it is on NMF and it is really good, I’ll definitely check this out in full
