083 Amy Winehouse "Rehab"

The first song I've ever liked by her. And judging from her next single may well be the only song I ever like by her :(

082 Gnarls Barkley "Gone Daddy Gone"

The first of just two cover versions in the countdown and the first of three songs for them. This was one of 2 songs I found before the album came out, the other being "Who Cares?" which was coincidentally the other AA with this. Always liked this one more. Rather good video.

This is faboulous despite being one of the weaker tracks on their album. It's their only entry in here due to their other 2 singles being re-releases. It seems odd that a band I've loved so much in 2006 can't even make the top 80!

080 Nelly Furtado "Maneater"

The second number one and first Nelly song. She may have sold out with it but it's still good. Unlike Promiscuous which has to be one of the worst singles of the year!

I didn't like this at first, thought it was quite whiny and not a patch on Steady... but I now rather like it. Album's still a bit $h!t though...

Didn't know this when it was released but downloaded it with recent single Alala. It's quite good and I shall be getting the album at Xmas. There's been a lot of decent indie/dance stuff recently...

The last act that have 3 singles in here to appear. It's a great song but there are definitely better on the album that could've been released...

Great to see Jamelia & Sugababes in there my fave 2 artisits :cheer:

Also good to see Alesha, Amy Winehouse & Nelly Furtado

Not as good as some of the stuff off the first album but it's still good and rather catchy. Will get their second album soon...

She has a lovely voice. Not the first track of hers to appear. I really like the album and don't understand why she's still not had much success.

I'd be surprised if anyone other than Elliot knows this. And tbh I doubt many would like it. Rap meets Drum n Bass and a Bollywood sample is hardly something tht'd go down well on this site...

I can never understand dance music. Cheesy $h!t like Cascada can be huge yet brilliance like this goes almost unnoticed. A CRIME. I never knew they were Swedish. 3 Swedish acts on here then!

Downloaded this after people mentioning it in the Indie Kids HQ. A great piece of indie dance that's again, gone un-noticed.

070 The Go! Team "Ladyflash"

The first of two songs in a row from albums released around 18 months ago. But as it was released in January it's still eligible to chart. Their only top 40 single in the UK. It's most fabulous but can only manage to end up 60 places lower than "Bottle Rocket" last year.

It's lovely  Apart from Foverver Lost it's the only track of theirs I'm really bothered about.

I really should hate this. She's always been awful ever since she went solo and I've hated everything she's released. Until this that is. A rnb by numbers ballad but is somehow just so much better than anything else from this year which could be described as similar like "Me & U" or "Unfaithful"

067 Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. "Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (Part One)"

Most certainly the act with the best name in here. He ain't a bad singer either which is always a good thing. Not my favourite single of his from this year, though probably the most well known. I would've included the video but this EXCELLENT live performance from Reading is more popular on youtube. And better.

066 Juliette & The Licks "Hot Kiss"

It's not often an actor/actress starts a music career and it's both successful and good. Juliette Lewis is amazing but hasn't really had any success as she doesn't make music for the masses. More recent single "Sticky Honey" is also good but missed out.

Theres some great songs so far in your chart Mark  only a few songs i don't like. can't wait to see the rest of the chart.
