Yeah I think it’s probably Tusse vs Eric now after seeing that. Dotter will likely end up third I guess, maybe fourth if the support is still really high for The Mamas.

The hosting this week has been the best so far this year!

Dame Shirley of Clamp next week *.*

One last BS result but at least now all the songs are out.

Oop the second schlagerdrottningen to go out in fifth this year :(

Very very happy for Clara though, I really love it, hope she can get to the final through AC!

I'm curious: What did Tess say about Angela Merkel? Are they related?

So based on who I thought was 3rd/4th I think the AC duels will be

Lillasyster vs Clara Klingenstrom

Eva & Ewa vs Klara Hammarstrom

Paul Rey vs Alvaro Estrella

Frida Green vs Efraim Leo

All the songs are making their way onto Spotify and I have 2 things to note.

1. I totally forgot all about Dandi Dansa

2. WHERE IS HARLOT

AC duels

Alvaro Estrella vs Lillasyster

Frida Green vs Paul Rey

Eva & Ewa vs Clara Klingenstrom

Klara Hammarstrom vs Efraim Leo

I can safely say all of those duels are easy for me. And Sweden will vote the exact opposite

Damn, my two favourites against each other in Eva & Ewa vs Clara. At least one will make the final for sure though.
I really like Eric's entry, that or Dotter to win for me but Little Tot is head and shoulders above the rest! I quite like the Mamas' song but wouldn't be that keen on it as an entry when they could have Little Tot or Every Minute, either of those would have a real chance in Rotterdam I feel. Voices is probably going to win, that needs more listens for me as I'm not feeling it at all.

I can see myself getting behind whatever they end up sending, although on a personal level Little Tot and Still Young are miles ahead of the rest, but the latter is never going to happen, and I'm not so sure the former will now either :(

I like both Voices and Every Minute in about an 8.5/10 fashion right now, but there's definitely room for growth. I do feel like the latter has potential to be a real hit outside the contest. I really like Voices but it's so cliched Eurovision-y that I think it actually works against it having any life outside the contest, it really doesn't feel like a real world hit at all, although I'm sure it'll top the charts in Sweden at least

The DTF songs were very obvious tonight on names alone but I'm not disappointed having heard the songs. In the Middle isn't quite as good as Move for me but still strong, and Every Minute is brilliant though I think I prefer his vocals in studio form. Efraim making AC *.* he had my actual fave of the night, though I'd have preferred Tess to join him in AC, I liked her song more than expected.

So glad all the songs are out now! If you need me, I'll be streaming New Religion and Little Tot on repeat all week

Eric  SLAYED it. He just has to beat Tusse please.

The Mamas with probably their most boring release of the last 12 months. Hope they provide zero competition in the final.

Clara really the REVELATION of the whole competition though - what a SONG. Shame she’s up against Eva & Ewa in Andra Chansen :(

Clara was definitely the classic Melodifestivalen underdog story, she clearly didn’t expect to get anywhere as seen by her reactions to getting through. The power of a great song and performance and a charming artist.

In early views on the official channel Eric has the most, then Dotter, then Tusse. Eric will have a bit of a recency boost too I guess but maybe it is his to lose. I think Voices may well win the televote but I’m not so sure the international juries will rate it as highly as Little Tot and Every Minute.

Dotter is easily my favourite this year. Interesting it’s ahead of Tusse given “Little Tot” was never successfully take down, which bodes well for her? Yes I’m over-analysing, I just think it would be a shame for Sweden to send a tired X-Factory song and potentially miss the left side of the board come May. I’m dubious juries will be so enthusiastic too. Objectively, I think Eric is their best shot for a podium finish.

The Mamas changing from the black to gold dresses, what a MOMENT *. But I'm not sure it will be as effective in two weeks to help score votes and I don't feel like the song is quite as strong as "Move" and whilst they may get sympathy votes from the public, that won't apply to the jury vote. They surprised last year though so I still can't totally rule them out.

Excited that it could be a genuine four horse race, I feel like Little Tot would be the most competitive at Eurovision but I'm leaning towards thinking it's more between Tusse and Eric, I think the former will take the public vote and the latter could win the jury vote as "Every Minute" has a great package with that performance, can totally see why it got the pimp slot. I'd be happy with any of the main four contenders, but would prefer Tusse not to win as I got more of a 'returns next year and wins then' vibe from his performance.

Efraim Leo actually had my favourite song of the heat though, hope he makes it through AC and we see him back in the next couple of years.
