'Back To December' was the song that made me more than just a casual fan. Definitely didn't think it'd do this well, glad to see so many 10+ scores

As I am far too busy atm and keep creating delays, I'm handing over the rest of the results hosting solely to RFI and London so that we can acc be done by the end of this year! <3

Anyway in the meantime, here is a hint for the song that placed in Taylor's lucky number, #13

#13:

13. I Knew You Were Trouble. [Avg. 9.33]

The third single from Red drops out here. I Knew You Were Trouble is about self a blame after a toxic relationship. It's described as "a dance pop and pop rock song with a dubstep refrain." It received three 11s (Dexton, Jade, Nina West), seven 10s (DionTheSats123, Doug, Jay, Klumzee, London, me, Ultra), some 9s, 8s, and a low score of 6 (Qween).
I loved this video (and the song obvs) when it first came out. I think this was about the time when I first really took notice of Taylor. Where the hell have the last nearly 10 years gone !

Style[Avg. 9.35]

At #12 is Style which was without a doubt my favourite track when 1989 was released. It didn’t receive an 11 from me during this rate because I played it so much back then that I find it difficult to listen to these days lol Maybe the re-recording will reignite an old flame. Although watching the video just then brought back so many memories. I love the way Taylor’s lyrics can transport me back. At that point in my life, I could really relate to the exhilarating high which came from returning over and over to someone who was exciting but not necessarily a good thing. I think the opening to this song is one of my favourites of Taylors and I just love her voice as it penetrates: ‘midnight...’

The song did well commercially, although a number 21 peak in the U.K. doesn’t seem fair for the quality of this song. It has gone on to be certified platinum in the U.K. over time though.

Style was given 11s from Among Haus, Doug, Ho-Lee Smokes and Nina West and 10s from me, Jay, Jade, DionTheSats123 and Blacksquare. It also revived lots of 9.5s / 9s.

11. Red [Avg. 9.40]

Here, we are losing another song from Red, the fifth single and the title track. Red is about a tumultuous relationship. The refrain likens the conflicting emotions to a spectrum of colors, including the color red, which symbolizes the ensuing intense feelings. It incorporates country and soft rock, using acoustic banjo and guitars, and electronic vocal manipulation. It received 11s from two raters (Cremey, Ho-Lee Smokes), eight 10s (Blacksquare, Jade, John-James, JosephStyles, Nina West, Qween, Riser, Ultra), some 9s. The lowest score is a 7 (Dexton).

It would be really good to get some predictions from people before we move on with revealing the top 10.

Here’s your top 10 in alphabetical order:

Blank Space

Cardigan

Cruel Summer

Delicate

Enchanted

Exile (ft. Bon Iver)

Love Story

Wildest Dreams

Willow

You Belong With Me

Is this the top 10 you wanted? What has missed out / what do you think shouldn’t be in this top 10?

Which songs do you think will make top 5?

Can you predict the order?

What do you want in the top 5 / to win?

Love me some Red. Taylor’s version gets a 10 from me.

Agreed!

I THINK it's going to be Wildest Dreams or Blank Space to win? But my ideal top 5 of those would bee cardigan, willow, Cruel Summer, Enchanted, Wildest Dreams

I'm thinking Wildest Dreams or Blank Space too! My guess would be Blank Space but I'm hoping for Wildest Dreams. I'm also predicting Cardigan, Willow and Exile all top 5, just based on how well Folklore and Evermore have done overall.

I’m loving the predictions

Anymore before we continue??

Exile [Avg. 9.5]

So let’s start the top 10. And first to leave in a very respectable 10th place is Exile. This means that Cardigan is the highest charting song from Folklore - but how high will it be?

Exile is such a beautiful song and Bon Iver and Taylor’s voices suit each other perfectly. The sadness in both their voices is spine tingling and they harmonise beautifully. IMO, this is her best collaboration (probably not a huge statement given that most of her collaborations aren’t amazing). Though the recent collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers is a close second. I know that Exile is many fans favourite from Folklore. It was awarded only two 11s from Dexton & Tafty however it scored a whopping 10 10s from Ultra, Riser, Nina West, me, Klumzee, Jay, DionTheSats123, Cremey, BlackSquare & Jade!

Blank Space [Avg. 9.61]

And so @ #9 is Blank Space which is probably one of the biggest shocks - we definitely thought this would finish at least top 3, if not at #1. Perhaps overtime people have gotten tired of this song. In the U.K., I think 1989, particularly Blank Space, was the song which really threw Taylor Swift into the mainstream. It was her peak (and one she is coming down from very, very slowly). The lyrics and the video are sassy af. This song was given 12 11s and 10s, with 11s awarded from Nina West, me, Jay, DionTheSats123 & Dexton. The 10s came from Ultra, Tafty, MrAndrewMan, John-James, Doug, BlackSquare & Among Haus. An average of 9.61 is pretty impressive for a song in 9th place.

it said "1989" instead of "Blank Space" in the title spot
