March 17, 20232 yr I genuinely feel sorry for people that are constantly keeping tabs on such relatively meaningless chart milestones. Especially once they get super specific about the criteria. I’d much rather their labels be the one to care and talk about such totals rather than people on Twitter slavishly bleating these records into the void. Considering this forum is place about music and in particular talking about artists charts and sales I don't think it's something to be sorry about darling x I feel sorry you feel so sorry about it x
March 17, 20232 yr Anyway by the by is true confirmed on her Instagram. Truly wouldn't have expected that feat from her, I know quite a few have been lower end of the top 100 recently but still a good feat!
March 22, 20232 yr I absolutely love this. Official audio released this afternoon. My rankings so far: By The End Of The Night 10/10 - think this is my favourite she's released in a good while Easy Lover - 10/10 - has grown on me a lot Miracle - 10/10 she needs to go further down this route her voice is catered for this music Like A Saviour - 8/10 solid pop song missing the goulding touch Let It Die 6/10 - grates on me now All By Myself - 1/10 really grown to hate it Edited March 22, 20232 yr by Rough_edges
March 22, 20232 yr By The End of The Night after a few listens is clearly my favourite from this album so far and even prefer it to miracles. Sounds very radio friendly. Apart from Love I'm Given if she had returned with these songs on Brightest Blue she would be in a much different position now.
March 22, 20232 yr Apart from Love I'm Given if she had returned with these songs on Brightest Blue she would be in a much different position now. I'm not convinced. Things seemed to be going gradually wrong up until 'Worry About Me' which torpedoed her so hard she was gonna struggle to get support after that.

Yeah fully agree about Worry About Me. She was always going to decline at some point just so happy we seem to be getting a solid album. If you look at others at that time who debuted Jessie J, Pixie Lott she has done well to get this far into her career.
March 22, 20232 yr I’ve only heard a little of By The End Of The Night, but this is the most excited I’ve been for an Ellie Goulding album since 2012 I think.
March 22, 20232 yr I am excited for 'By The End Of The Night' as I was with similarly cheerful 'Around U'. Which means - not at all... (?)
March 22, 20232 yr Four songs being released next Friday 31st: - Love Goes On - Cure For Love - Midnight Dreams - Higher Than Heaven Really can't see the point in this as that means most the album has been released prior to the release of the actual album. It is a tie in with the amazon concert which premieres on the 31st

March 24, 20232 yr Calvin is not the hits machine he once was, so good luck to her. :coffee: This aged spectacularly well

March 24, 20232 yr This aged spectacularly well   To be fair, I had said that before the first snippet of Miracle was released. :coffee:

March 24, 20232 yr Great that it hopefully means more music is planned after this album. Absolutely, she hasn't left the top 100 artists on Spotify since it became a thing. Her label have done her dirty the past few years and her anxiety has held her back. I'm hoping for a more authentic approach with new label.
