Posted April 23, 20214 yr 10 • Tragedy OiwDHHcHPh0 Now, I know this is quite low and honestly a few years ago before the group staged their comeback, it would have been higher. This was one of my favourite songs growing up and of course the video is iconic. If I'm not mistaken, this is also Steps best selling single, although, I could be wrong :P. Anyway, here were are. Tragedy is the worst of the bunch at #10 yet still miles ahead of any of the other songs from #11 and down.

I think I'm old and my Brain is confused. Okay a quick refresh and I'm now sorted. The one thing that lets this song down is the video. Why do they all look so damn happy even though the song is about your other half changing and them basically leaving your life. I don't get it honestly.
April 23, 20214 yr The one thing that lets this song down is the video. Why do they all look so damn happy even though the song is about your other half changing and them basically leaving your life. I don't get it honestly. Honestly the same can be said for so many of their song/video combinations tbh. A lot of their lyrics are actually very bittersweet or sad. Image wise (in terms of their colourful clothes/cheerful demeanour) they were leaning far more into the mood that the song productions evoked, more so than the lyrical content.

Image wise (in terms of their colourful clothes/cheerful demeanour) they were leaning far more into the mood that the song productions evoked, more so than the lyrical content. Well I know this already but honestly, I feel like the gulf between happy faces and sad music was bigger in this song then any other.
April 24, 20214 yr Author Love both songs, your top 10 has potential from for me based on results so far. I think you'll be very pleased 🤭

Michelle Visage) rt_oUFWZtus This is a great first single from The Bands new album and with a feature from the impeccable Ms. Visage to boot! Ranking the songs though I feel like this could possibly climb higher as time goes on. Maybe? The video is great as well, although it's a shame that Lisa couldn't actually be with her fellow band mates for it. Michelle was a suitable substitute though, fitting in perfectly. One criticism of the video I do have is that the whole video is so dark. I feel like it should have progressively gotten lighter as it went on.
April 24, 20214 yr Author 07 • Scared Of The Dark xRb4xqFpOvY Amazing Music Video, Amazing Song, Amazing Vocals. With Time this will most likely become my favourite Steps single. The video is so classy and they all look fantastic. Claire especially has never looked so good I don't think. And of course, there's a topless Lee in there for a whole 5 seconds. What's not to like? Watching the video just makes me realize how stupid H & Claire were to leave the band when they did. Arguably, they were at their peak when all this happened.
April 24, 20214 yr I love the Heartbreak in this City video but it is a shame Lisa isn’t more included. Scared of the Dark is probably my favourite Steps song
April 24, 20214 yr Heartbreak in this city is good but not a steps too 10 for me, scared of the dark is ace and was a great comeback single.
April 24, 20214 yr Claire especially has never looked so good. For me her best looks was in "It's The Way You Make Me Feel" video + H and Claire period. There is only one thing, which I like in Steps comeback - Faye still gorgeous and sometimes very sexy like in "Scared of the Dark" video. Edited April 24, 20214 yr by Last Dreamer
April 25, 20214 yr Author Love both songs, your top 10 has potential from for me based on results so far. My top 10 will be flawless x I love the Heartbreak in this City video but it is a shame Lisa isn’t more included. Scared of the Dark is probably my favourite Steps song  Yeah, it was a shame about Lisa. It's understandable though. Yass for the Scared Of The Dark love. Those violins are everything! Heartbreak in this city is good but not a steps too 10 for me, scared of the dark is ace and was a great comeback single. It's a shame you don't like Heartbreak In This City as much. Maybe you'll appreciate it more in time. For me her best looks was in "It's The Way You Make Me Feel" video + H and Claire period. There is only one thing, which I like in Steps comeback - Faye still gorgeous and sometimes very sexy like in "Scared of the Dark" video. Faye really does look amazing. She's stunning. Four bangers so far Great choices so far. You both better believe it x

That was a shame :( I feel like since they've returned, their videos have been really dark apart from Something In Your Eyes but even then that still had Neon colours in it along with all of their other videos since their revival. One of the things I really like about this song is that Lee got a chance to shine.
April 25, 20214 yr Author 05 • After The Love Has Gone iz36fINs_YY What I love about this song is that I find it so relatable. For myself and probably quite a few other people. Essentially it's about finally having the courage to break up when a relationship fizzles out, which a lot of people don't do for various reasons. I'm am not a fan of the video though. The best thing about steps is their ability to make a song sound so catchy and this one is no different.
April 25, 20214 yr Your selections are songs I enjoy greatly although less with After the Love Has Gone.
