I'm not a huge Will fan either, but this is my favorite album from him in ages. Loving Indestructible.
Everything Is Embarrassing!

What a great pop song and amazing cover.

Ā

Good luck to Will with UK chart this week.

He is a very talented artist and should be more popular in his country at least.

Ā

I so agree on both counts! He never gets the recognition he deserves.

Ā

I absolutely love Everything is Embarrassing but weirdly looking on YouTube it’s the least played track.

Ā

Indestructible has really grown on me too, love it.

Favs for me, Everything Is Embarrassing, Daniel, Crying on the Bathroom floor, Till there’s Nothing Left & Missing but that could change. The album has great playability & Will’s voice has never sounded better, such a talented singer.

Having had quite a few listens on repeat I feel the same about all of those tracks plus Indestructible. I find the album absolutely seamless, it flows so well.

He is still number 1 today on 9k, 2k ahead of the number 2, really hope he holds on, i was hoping his sales would be closer to 20k.
Billie and her team are really going for it with new bundles so she could get the 2nd week but hopefully not, I hope we get another update tomorrow.
Billie just released 4 cassettes and 1 CD with a signed postcard bundle for £20 x500 which apparently sold out within in 10mins... that will be 5 sales per sale which is 2,500 sold in 10mins! I'm guessing that not all those were UK sales so it's hopefully not 2,500 UK sales otherwise she has won!

It was U.K. only.

It was U.K. only.

Oh ffs! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø Well that battle is lost then she’s already overtaken him I can’t see him shifting another 1k today šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

If Will ends up at #2, then his 8 studio albums will have achieved these peaks in this order: 1-1-2-2-1-1-2-2!

Ā

Ā

The albums that held him off the #1 spot:

Ā

#1 Madonna - Confessions on a Dancefloor [in its 2nd week at #1]

#2 Will Young - Keep On

Ā

#1 Kings of Leon - Only by the Night [in its 2nd week at #1]

#2 Will Young - Let It Go

Ā

#1 Lewis Capaldi - Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent [in its 5th week at #1 and 6th week in the chart]

#2 Will Young - Lexicon

Ā

Ā

Will Young's studio albums have always been the highest new entry in their release weeks, which I'd say is quite an achievement! It's just unlucky for him that he sometimes collides with really big albums that hold up well after the first week on sale. Although to be fair this week isn't over yet...!

Ā

Ā

I quite like the album by the way, it's a nice and easy listen, and his choices are mostly inspired! I like his takes on Everything Is Embarrassing and Crying on the Bathroom Floor.

i would be happy for this to end up at #2 as i want justice for 'lexicon' LOL

Ā

Ā

Oh I agree Lexicon deserved to be #1 (although I've always hated the title lol).

Ā

This album has really started to grow on me it's a nice listen!

Billie is now #1 with a 1.3k lead over Will, we can safely say she won this race, let's hope he sticks at #2 and keeps his run of top 2 albums going at least! Hopefully the signing today and the reductions will give him enough of a lead to keep his #2 position.

Ā

I'm really enjoying the album now glad I gave it a few listens to grow, I'd put it above From now on and Let it go now.
