Joe Kentish, the new President of Warner Records UK, was interviewed by Variety and he mentioned that Dua is already thinking on her new album, pulling off something completely different and at scale.

Kentish says Lipa is 'already thinking' about her third album and is planning to pull off 'something completely different and at scale.'

"She was talking about album No.3 when we barely had No.2 done!," he marvels. "You're half-expecting that she might want to take a break or go about things differently but she's like 'Right, what's next?' Her interests, her knowledge, her thirst to learn new things and to be in control of what she does just grows and grows. She's taking time to fully realise the album conceptually, but her belief in herself and the belief that she can pull off something completely different and at scale has only grown."

I can’t begin to imagine what direction she might go with the next album. The future nostalgia sound suited her so well that I can’t imagine her doing anything else.
I’d love a Back To Black soul/motown feel I think!

Dua's sheer talent could make a sound like this work. Her superlative skills, fierce and avant-garde vision, spellbinding performances never fall prey to sonic tautologies and circuitousness.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. She had a perfect vision for this album, she just needs to find another solid theme to go with.

I think she needs at least a year away though. I don't blame her for milking this era for all its worth and it's so refreshing to see someone actually dedicated to pushing the era beyond the album release, but she's been absolutely everywhere since October 2019 and I have to admit I'm getting slight Dua-fatigue.

Time away is a good idea.

Overkill can bring long-term damage.

FN era already is in 2+ years so I have no idea when do I want her to come with new era...like part of me is asking if she in a good position to have 3+ years between era's or she should hurry up so people don't forget about her!!!

I think a similar release pattern to Future Nostalgia would be good. So lead single October 2022 and Album in the spring 2023.

That would totally work and I think tour will be over by then, right?

She was in the studio with Andrew Wyatt today!

bring on miley part 2

It ends on 16th November so maybe that’s cutting it a bit fine. Maybe January 2023 would be better then.
