Dua's self-titled debut was released 4 years ago yesterday after several setbacks and no massive hit single at the time. Many thought her future looked grim

 

That soon changed after New Rules and then IDGAF took off and now it's the most streamed album by a female artist of all time and has spent over 200 consecutive weeks on the UK Album Chart :clap:

 

In a recent Instagram Story, Dua said:

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s listened to my music from the beginning. It’s been 4 years since my debut album came out! Thank you for all things good and bad, for helping me grow. I’m excited for you to see what’s next!

 

I’m so grateful for all the incredible opportunities, all the amazing people I met, all the incredible lessons I learnt touring for 3 years, getting bullied online which made me wanna dance my arse off, thank you so much for helping me grow.

Garden is one of the best things which happened to pop music lately I've gone for Homesick, such a beautiful ballad :heart:

 

Begging remains an anthem! No Goodbyes crept up in my affections over some of the others since the album release too, but I didn't really care much for it at the time.

I must admit that I don't return to the DL1 album tracks much but my favourite is 'Garden'! I like the metaphors and her voice shines on it.

Ugh the pink vinyl is so gorgeous isn’t it! I preordered it and didn’t know it looked like that so when it came on release day I was floored
