That piano start… :w00t:

Then when the song changes pace… :w00t:

I really like this, I’m still not 100% on the Run For Cover remix but this I really like.

This is utterly stunning. I hope they'll eventually perform it.

I really like it!! Seen a lot of people online dislike it which made me a little worried but they’re smoking crack. Good to confirm the little intro vid was Same Old Story after all (Keisha left a swipe up link when posting it)

It’s very different to the RFC remix in what it does to the song and I really like that. They both bring out really different things in the original tracks.

Agreed! I was quite shocked to see that some people don’t like it. I think the mash of downtempo and upbeat works so well. The remixes really have been perfect so far.

I much prefer the Run For Cover remix.

I wasn’t very keen on this at the start of the track but it improves as it goes on.

23 504 streams on Spotify in the first day! I think Run For Cover got about 15k in the first day, so I'm a bit surprised that this increased a bit from that considering it's peaked at #183 or something on iTunes.

I think this has maybe taken people less by surprise so it’s started out a little stronger? Also it was never a Single so might be a new track to many

Good to see an uptick tho. That will really count (even if the numbers could and should be higher)

Great to see an increase with this release! We'll take what we can get.

Good point. It might be that more people are here for this as they're much less familiar with the track than they are Run For Cover. I actually noticed quite a few complaints that Run For Cover should never be tampered with, it's perfect as it is, etc.

41 621 streams. About 18k in the second day. Not too bad for a remix of a 21 year old album track considering their low profile the past decade.
Wasnt added to new music Friday 😞

Boo whore, but kind of expected considering it's a low-key release.

I hope they'll at least get added to some playlists even if they're lower profile.

It’s been added to a Spotify playlist called „Pollen“. Idk if that’s any decent or not

It has 1.3 million likes so that's always good?

I also noticed that it's also listed on Blood Orange's page as his latest release so that'll hopefully help too.

I do wonder how much these hype tracks are experiments for what they can do with new music in terms of release strategies and what playlists have the most impact.

Then again im probably just overthinking it

No, I think that's exactly why they've gone for a One Touch re-release - it allows them to experiment with release forms and strategies without having any pressure of it being labeled a "flop".

True true it is just fan service at this point!

Apple Music have added it to the "New In Pop" playlist
