That seems a little extreme. If it were a new single then I’d probably agree with you. But it’s just a remix that’ll probably do nothing chart wise especially with us coming into the Christmas period.

I still have hope they can come back with something good!

It'll probably boost the song's chart position quite considerably tbh, remixes with British rappers do very well compared to just plain old dance remixes (also Chip particularly has a bit of a base and Russ Millions had a #1 hit not too long ago)

Yeah I guess that's true. I'm still not convinced but I guess we'll see. Although, I'm not against it becoming a bigger hit if it gets their name back out there a bit more.

From Zara and Demi to Chip and Russ Millions....

I mean I'd love to know if they're fine with it or if it's them being told by their label and they've just got to get on with it..

Surely they would have at one time been big enough to make their own decisions, but now they are lucky if they get any chart success.

You'll find that it's the opposite and the labels take control. In 2010-2014 they were pretty much free agents, now not so much

The thing is with them is that they've never had a dedicated fanbase and the singles did well because they were great songs. So all it would take is another great song (which I still believe they're capable of) and I'm sure it would do really well.

everything Clean Bandit have done seems to have been very label-dictated. even back at their peak they really wanted Ina Wroldsen to sing Rockabye given that she wrote the song but the label forced them to have Anne-Marie on it instead.

I very much doubt it was their idea to just phone Russ Millions and ask him to rap over their song.

Also having both 24kGoldn and Iann Dior on consecutive singles after Mood was a huge hit was such a label move.

bring back Jess Glynne!

i don’t get why they are going down this route when it’s not working

Well the song is at #27 on the charts so it is working to some extent. This remix might give it the push it needs to get a new peak, so why wouldn’t they try it.

This remix is very meh. But I’m probably not the target audience.

I’m not a huge fan of the remix tbh still prefer the original, should help it get another new peak and maybe top 20?
Lmao at Clean Bandit not even being the lead artist on this remix :kink: (I presume it should still be combined for chart purposes though?)
