So we lose our first 30 pointer and poor Last Dreamer sees their favourite 90s No 1 go. It’s Geri’s most popular entry though so that’s something!

Amazed that apart from a couple of points to Boyzone everything I've voted for is still to come! :o

A shame Who Do You Think You Are? so low down in the Spice Girls songs, definitely the song of theirs I'd be most likely to listen to.

It was one of the 100 biggest-selling records of all-time, meaning at least a million people felt strongly enough about it to go out and buy it - which is quite a big fanbase given Jackson wasn't selling albums like he used to in 1995. It's the same for, say, YMCA , Evergreen or other big-sellers of their time - a large number of people might have got fed up with hearing them but their fans didn't just die overnight and go away, they prob just aren't on Buzzjack for the most part

It was your suggestion that 1 million people rated it among the top 100 records ever made that I could not follow.

Yes I phrased it very badly! :o

:D

Saturday Night is great, not a lyrical masterpiece but a perfect slice of nostalgia for all those primary school discos.

Glad Return Of The Mack made it into the Top 100. Fairground by Simply Red is a nice track as well, i’m indifferent to most of their stuff tbh but always liked this one.

I like Saturday Night too, and I was about 25 years too old for the Primary School discos at the time

Lou Bega and the Spice Girls are also fun tracks.

Mark Morrison what a great track, nearly defines the middle decade!

Britpop defined the middle of the decade and not Mark Morrison (thankfully!).

A genre and a song are a different thing but it’s hard to argue but ‘Return of the Mack’ is a fantastic number one from this era!

I’ve always despised it. Plus it kept the Manics off the top spot!

lots of classics in the 90s but Return of the Mack is not it...

poor Manics... was the difference close in sales?

So colour me surprised that this ends as B*Witched’s most popular No 1 on Buzzjack!

It’s all about opinions I guess…

Equal parts annoying and fun this remains their biggest seller and most popular on the site!
