Second album "Homesick" is out on January 14th - and "Sick" is out now! Hopefully they're looking at pushing for a quiet January #1.

Second single 'Again Again' is out today, they certainly know how to write an anthem!

 

This is actually one of their better songs so we'll see if it grows on me!

Really love ‘Sick’ at the mo!

'Hometown' was Radio 1's Hottest Record on Thursday, getting Springsteen vibes from this one!

 

I absolutely loved the first album but ‘Hometown’ aside I’m disappointed so far - I feel like they’ve morphed into Scouting For Girls with songs like ‘Sick’

Yeah that’s kinda what I’ve been thinking as well, I do quite like ‘Sick’ in particular but I generally prefer their more upbeat bangers.

I was beyond buzzing for the 2nd album and was really expecting them to deliver and be the next British indie band to break through - for me at least so far they are falling really short.

There is a 'full version' of Sick that has 143k streams too, but that doesn't add too much more. I just don't think they're getting much playlist support on there for this one, a lot of their Spotify playlist features are still with their older songs. (particularly on running/upbeat playlists)

Yeh been disappointed with the new song tbh but I did like ‘Sick’, peaked at number 12 on my PC.

Album has been pushed back 2 months to March 25th.

New single 'Sleeping With You' is out tomorrow. It sounds fine, but I'm not sure a slower release is what they need now. I kinda feel that all of the singles so far are lacking in a bit of energy? Their first album had such great choruses, you can kinda hear that in 'Homesick' (easily my favourite thus far), but nothing is quite hitting me as hard as a lot of their debut albums stuff did.

 

In fact, I think Inhaler are doing the big indie pop-rock anthems so much better at the moment.

It’s not the sort of thing I particularly want from them, but fair play, it’s pretty good for what it is! Henry shows some great vocals here in particular

 

It’s decent but the campaign feels a bit of a mess and they have yet to have a song that’s really connected with the masses - not the best start to an album campaign 4 tracks in.

'Lonely' is Hottest Record tonight, along with some big news! (a tour I presume?). Not sure what to make of yet another sombre sounding song, but the fans seem excited for it.

Oh wow, they've announced that they're playing at Alexandra Palace... that's massive!

I like the new track but again, it’s not going to do much in getting them out to a new audience I don’t think?

 

My favourites so far are ‘Sleeping With You’ and ‘Hometown’.

 

Also we now have almost 50% of the album! 5 tracks released so far from the standard 11 track album (There are 2 bonus tracks on the deluxe).

I haven’t really been into this era and haven’t playlisted Of their songs so looking forward to maybe listening to their album as a body of work in March!
