The interesting thing is that on most forums, most people don't seem to be loving it, yet, it's already doing really well.

Perhaps it's all due to the fact that most people talking might be Little Mix fans who love their music, and this song doesn't actually sound like what Little Mix would release.

I also feel this hype will also benefit Little Mix for their next single.

 

Jesy has such a beautiful voice when she uses it properly. You hear the rich sultry tone she’s known for throughout this “song” though sadly the higher speaking parts aren’t so good.

I think its current success is down in part to curiosity.

I can see it doing quite well overall but I don't think it will be massive.

I've seen very mixed reactions on the forums i've been on, it is very 50/50. I guess Jesy was right, people will either love it or hate.

 

I agree this does not sound like any Little Mix song to me.

I actually kind of like it, if only for being completely different to what's in the charts right now. It does admittedly rely heavily on the sample, but the original's a great song.

 

I think this will be huge for her, but I am interested to see how she does with the follow-up(s)

To be honest I know people might disagree but this imo does sound like a hit . Won’t be surprised to see it be huge !

it's really nice seeing her so invested in it, you can tell how passionate she is about it.

tbh most of us live in echo chambers, the industry and the GP is so much more than pop music forums or our twitter surroundings. Jesy was always a fav with the GP and blackfishing isn't a common concept among the general public, regardless of what people say - i do think it's a hit as well but i wish it was a better song and done w/a bit more.. thought?

Yeah focusing on the positives, she clearly knows how to perform, the video looks glossy and the song is v lead single from an ex X Factor act in the say that it will connect with the public.

I don’t really care about the song or Jesy in general, but she’s really being ripped apart on a lot of forums right now, maybe rightly so, but I don’t remember there being that same energy when Ariana was releasing 7 Rings and had a dodgy tan.

This is going to be massive for her, general public will lap it up I think. Seems as they already are tbh! Only seeing positive things outside of forums, lucky she’s got the Barbz on her side too.

 

She’s just hit number 1 on US iTunes too!

a lot of people conveniently forget their white favs have always pulled moves like this, with Ariana's being the tip of iceberg as her song was massive, but for some reason Jesy gets the brunt of it because she's an easy target

 

not that Jesy shouldn't receive criticism for her actions, she definitely should, but i feel like a lot of people are giving their opinion/drags as a "gotcha" moment rather than wanting her to actually learn.
