ABBA are going to sell WAY more than ED didn’t they do 80,000 in 2 days of pre-orders?

They probably will end up at 4 but Rod’s new effort looks actually terrible so it would be a shame.

Exactly! Surely all the huge abba fans have already preordered the album. I can’t see why many people will be getting the album in the second week. I may be wrong but I struggle to see another 30,000 physical copies selling in the second week.

Has everyone just taken the day off?

Literally zero happening and Between Us is pretty important for this album release!?

I feel like there's a reason they've not posted about the song ...

Sounds like you know something… 🤪

With all the variants of Between Us, top 3 is very likely. Pre-orders for the other big releases before them usually get shipped in first week. Nowadays people get a second week at number 1 if there's no big release in the second week; or if the big releases have no physical copies like Lil Nas X and Drake.

Re Posting about the song: They posted about it yesterday; or do they post that often when it's a promo single? I've just been to their Instagram, and none of Not A Pop Song, Happiness and Confetti promo singles got more than one post. If Between Us will eventually be an actual single, I don't think they'd be posting much about it now.

Well they tweeted and nothing big came from it. I just think they like the song guys

I'm not a huge pre order person myself, generally I like to buy the physical cd locally on day of release if I can. I think ABBA could potentially pick up good supermarket sales alone. I thi k they will be on around 200k. Little Mix should hopefully be at least 40k so I'm not sure could abba match that on a 2nd week.

I think the general consensus is that ABBA and Ed will be #1/#2 on the 19th. Taylor is probs their biggest competition, at first I wasn’t sure if she would be considering Fearless didn’t do THAT well but Red is insanely more popular. Hopefully their variants/bundles come through and the fact that the 5 new songs are solid AND Cut You Off is highly anticipated. I can see it having a chart run maybe
Ed "only" did 140k this week, I wonder how much he'll do in his third. I guess he'll still be going 60k+ and they're more likely to do 40k.
Kinda shocked there was no announcement with Between Us and just a lyric video, it would have been a good opportunity.
The whole rollout for this feels like they've already given up already. I mean, it's understandable if they're itching to get on with the hiatus and their solo projects but still.

It's a bit of a non-event so far, hopefully it gets amped up. I think it's a messy roll out from their team so far.

I’m really disappointed in the way they’ve handled this release.

We could of had one performance a week (older into newer) like an acoustic running up to the album...

Obviously pre-recorded from months back before the babies.

It was supposed to be this big celebration of 10 years and it’s such a non event. I get they tried with the talking about albums / era’s over the years and I like them but most of that is just clips of the videos.

There’s nothing for fans to talk about or interact with, even dropping Between Us there was zero effort or hype.

I hope they do have performances coming somewhere :(

The pregnancies definitely limited the amount of promo they could do for this, and the radio interviews really aren't making up for it. The fact there have been no live performances is crazy. I would have loved something similar to the Apple Music performance they did for the LM5 release.

Why don’t they print 1,000 copies of this promo shot..sign them and do a cassette bundle with it easy 3 sales per person.

I think they've done so well considering 2/3 were pregnant and had their babies amidst all the campaign. Remember they should technically be on maternity leave. They've shot a number of videos, been in the studio recording and writing, then the photoshoots, and everything else. They might even have some surprises for this coming week - you never know.
