2 Ed Sheeran - = (19,841)

I wonder if they can chart higher than Ed next week?

I actually think they can.

His numbers haven’t been great (for him) and they always surprise us with just how popular they actually are.

I think streaming could make all the difference, but I have no idea what the numbers are gonna look like and if many of the old tracks will climb up the charts.

I stand by what I said earlier. This album is going top 3. I've seen how the popular albums have been nosediving after week 1, and Coldplay's brought it really home. Confetti had more hype, but this has more formats. Don't forget that during confetti campaign, Sweet Melody had only peaked at #8. Infact, it was down to 12 the week leading to album release.

I'm optimistic about this album 🤷‍♂️

I hope the picture disc issue doesn't affect them too much.

Hoping it isn't too many picture discs getting cancelled.

It'll probably cost them a good 3-4k sales at least.

No seems to be getting everyone hyped...

I think the picture disc issue definitely won’t help.

I’d love them to be the highest new entry but I’m sure Rod will be ahead.

Not sure if they're still available now but I just managed to get an Amazon signed CD by randomly going on the page and seeing it was available! :cheer:

with the picture disc issue they're at least offering substitutes - it also might mean they have a decent second/third week too.

Ed's sales are quite.. piss poor for what we were expecting, he'll probably clear about 40k this week maybe? They might even beat him..

Hahahaha I’m dead!!!

I’m a credited source! All I did was see a fair few people mentioning the same email...

So glad we managed to get them! I really gave up before and thought I wouldn’t get one!

i wonder if they could possibly manage it ?

i can see Abba being on similar numbers to Ed, anything over 50,000 could be enough and the amount of versions for this album has been insane, i’m sure there will be bigger pushes depending on midweeks too

They need to do a 3 cassettes for £15 bundle on release week, which really seems to do the trick for a lot of artists.
Is there any other competition than Abba, Ed and Taylor that week?

Kylie and Rod, too.

I agree! I don’t understand why they price cassettes so high apparently they are one of the cheapest things to produce.

Hopefully they do some sort of signed poster / Polaroid too.

Take JLS they understand the fan market bundles galore and signed individual vinyl bundles..

They have a good number of variants but the bundles are always so boring or ridiculously expensive.

my midweek prediction for monday

little mix 26k

Abba 20k

Ed 18k
