Life Got Cold not a fan fave but i find it quite cute

Always loved Life Got Cold as well, it feels underrated these days! It's not one of their very best but I have a lot of time for it.

My main memory of this coming out was how difficult CD2 was to track down... I bought it in Sanity in the end (what a throwback) but it wasn't easy to find!

I remember the controversy/digs that this song got for being rather reminiscent of an Oasis song, but that didn't really bother me because I wasn't a fan of Oasis anyway :kink:

I was really into this at the time. It was a highlight for me from the album, so I was pretty pleased with it being a single. It was quite a quirky choice to release at the height of the summertime!

I wanted to buy both CD1 and CD2 but I couldn't find CD2 anywhere in my town! I was on the Girls Aloud forum then and remember others struggled to track it down too. It took me two weeks to find a copy of it! So I was pretty convinced that this apparent stocking issue denied them getting to #2 with this single. Although I ended up being pleased with #3, because their career opening with a #1, #2 and #3 is quite a fun chart fact!

Jump was a big international hit for the group i remember, it was certainly quite big over here in The Netherlands

Okay firstly, this should have been a #1 single! Westlife denying them that, with Mandy... UK public, what's good?! Pretty sure Jump ended up with higher sales, so that's something.

I think this is Girls Aloud's best cover version, one they made their own (though I do think the Pointer Sisters original is great too). I love the production on this, it's so pulsating *.*

Always a fun moment on tour, one the crowds were very receptive too

As far as the general public goes, this HAS to be their most underrated single! It's an essential for me, and the video is possibly their best too  I'd say it also includes Sarah's first iconic solo in their run of singles
From The Show on i was a huge stan of Girls Aloud

THE SHOW DESERVED TO ACHIEVE 10 TIMES THE SUCCESS IT ACHIEVED, IT WAS DONE DIRTY.

Not even silver though :(

At the time some fans considered this to be their Spice Up Your Life moment, I guess because they're both huge bops and the first singles taken from their second albums.

This is one of my absolute faves  The Ten tour performance... whew!

I still love it but Love Machine isn't as huge of a fave anymore like it was back then.

Love Machine was definitely one of the first "wtf did I just listen to!!" moments. I remember hearing a small-ish clip on CD:UK and being a little baffled. It was very fast to grow on me though.

At this point I was getting a little frustrated that they kept getting to #2  Unfortunate for them to run into probably the biggest dance song of that year.

This growing into being one of their signature hits - I totally understand why, even though this is probably more of a mid-table moment though. I love it though. This'll definitely go Platinum eventually, which will feel surreal when its 2004 total was below 100,000.

Also the first ever vinyl I bought - I didn't really understand at that point in time what a picture disc was, I just knew I needed it!
