Biology was the perfect example of how to rip up the pop rulebook and create something amazing! It's not quite their best for me (I find it a liiiitle overrated, and by that I find it a solid 9/10 compared to many people's 11/10s ) but undoubtedly one of their most iconic moments.

(the amount of time I spent trying to master the clock hand actions they do in the video... will never manage it x)

Biology really was a moment. I remember hearing it for the first time and being pretty blown away after the first listen - it was just so unusual, structurally! I found it really special instantaneously.

I honestly was gutted when I saw this was midweek #6, I couldn't believe that such an exciting song could be on course to do a bit "meh" (in those days anything lower than Top 5 didn't feel too good...). Thankfully it rallied and got a more deserving #4 peak.

Love the video for this too, really effective!

From one of their best songs to one of their worst songs

I've always thought See the Day is pleasant, but I don't think it's very "Girls Aloud". It's clear the label wanted something mega safe to try and shift albums. To be fair, I think the tactic worked in some respects. It became their biggest song on radio since Sound of the Underground, it even went to #1 in the TV airplay chart. Chemistry sold 250,000+ in just three weeks!

Clearly didn't translate into mega single sales, though this came out 2 weeks after Chemistry, so the incentive to buy it probably wasn't huge...

See the Day is lovely, Nadine particularly shines on it and I see why they felt it was a good opportunity for some Christmas impact, but it's not an essential for me really.

My favourite GA ballad  so many standout moments. Nicola's "hello, did you call me?", Nadine's "I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't", and Sarah's outro

A fun Whole Lotta History memory is from their documentary series - Sarah finds out the #6 position and she's not impressed at all! Said it deserved at least Top 3 - she was so right! While Nadine was in the same car and seemed quite unfazed about it

A beautiful song. That outro is going to be so poignant now :(

SKO is incredible, it doesn't let up for a single moment :cheeseblock: one of their very best - if you had to sum Girls Aloud up in one song, I feel like this is the perfect example?

SOMETHING KINDA OOOOH :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock:

Completely obsessed from the very first play! I recorded the radio rip. Played it so many times that Chris Moyles singing "I'm singing on the end so you don't put it on the internet" still sticks in my mind

Mega bop. It was everything I wanted from them and they delivered it :cheeseblock: Just massive! The increase in success compared to the Chemistry era was very pleasing. It entering at #5 on downloads alone was extraordinary at the time, they were the first British act to debut so high without physical sales!!

It's my favourite Girls Aloud song

What a banger of a song :cheer:
