Alone Together is probably one of the best single choices of the lot so far, it's got a great production behind it

May have had a few drinks but just watching some old Westlife performances and the new record label have well and truly done them over. One of the greatest bands ruined by clueless execs.

They'll be performing on Dancing on Ice - March 13

World of our own is now platinum in the UK! Sales were 519.000 one year ago. It sold ~80.000 the last year which averages 6-7k every month. That is an amazing figure for them and amazing for the single too. No need to mention that their new singles don’t even come close to these numbers :)

Let’s keep enjoying!

I'm a massive fan of Westlife but they need to stop now. That Dancing on ice performance was lifeless and they are not the band they were. They should have done spectrum and stopped. They only want to sell your tickets now and have zero regards for fans. That performance would not have even needed rehearsing. Have tickets to Wembley but honestly feel like not going.

Guys can do whatever the hell they want, if they just want to tour, its their choice, plenty of older acts just do that. However, I do think they still enjoy making music and Wild Dreams is a great album.

Besides, I think their performance on Dancing on Ice was quite good, they didn't look lifeless to me. They can't really jump around when they are on those platforms and the act is never the star, the dancers are. They delivered a good vocal performance, that is the main thing.

Sean Wild Dreams was a great effort from them. Their last nights appearance was indeed a short preparation but boys are enjoying a few more weeks off before their long tour and who knows what. Lets still celebrate World Of Our Own platinum recognision. In general them reuniting helped also their older singles sell much more..
I’ve been loving Alone Together this week. Wish we were getting a decent video for it.

This was reported 3-4 years ago:

The band sold over 40 million studio albums and 55 million records overall worldwide. With 13 million singles in the UK alone how can this be even close to reality? :P

Although strange to believe they had sold 40m albums, (however this number is comfortably above 35m) but if they sold 13m singles in the UK surely their worlwide total should approach double that number isnt it?

It was reported that Swear it Again alone sold 500k in the US.

[if you add up the weekly sales, it doesn't come up to the same total - I think it might be the case that a few copies were sold in advance of the release date]

Thank u very much Jay - i wish i can be like you and access such information, if this is something you can help me pm me please. :) if the difference is not too big then the reason might be thursday’s stream estimations which I think are being corrected.
do u maybe have their greatest hits' albums weekly and total? i am sure they must have been charted last few weeks in top 200

I don't doubt that they are committed as they wouldn't be playing Wembley Stadium at this point in their career if they weren't.

I can't help feeling that they could have made a bigger deal out of this reunion though, even without having to do much more. Maybe people won't book them cos of their ages, but a few more big performing spots could have done them a lot of good.

I've no doubt it has come up before but surely doing a few live performances with Ed Sheeran is something that could really be good for them. Maybe Hello My Love, Perfect (Ed's song but could easily be a Westlife song).

Also I'm currently watching back the Queen medley. I do like it but I'd rather they didn't mime. I suppose there's reasons why they did but I'd prefer it if they all sang live in the next tour (including Kian who I don't recall singing live at one of these big gigs).
