Posted September 20, 20213 yr Welcome to the weekly ACR Status Updates thread! This is where you can find out the current streaming ratios of the songs in the official top 100. Please note - I don't receive information every single week, so if no thread materialises, there's no use nagging me - it means I genuinely don't know the status of any songs! Updates can also materialise at any point over the weekend but I'll always try to ensure I do it before the First Look chart update if I receive the necessary information. If you're wondering what ACR and SCR are, here's a quick reminder: SCR = Standard Chart Ratio. All songs enter the chart on SCR, which means their streams count at the following ratios: 100 premium streams = 1 sale (e.g. a premium Spotify account, Apple Music, Tidal, etc) 600 ad-funded streams = 1 sale (e.g. free Spotify, YouTube, etc) ACR = Accelerated Chart Ratio. Once a song has charted for at least 10 weeks, and declines in streams for three consecutive weeks, it is put onto ACR. This means its streams are effectively HALVED, and count at the following ratios: 200 premium streams = 1 sale 1200 ad-funded streams = 1 sale Songs older than 3 years old are automatically on ACR. The terminology used in this thread will be the official terminology used by the OCC. September 20, 20213 yr not Surf Curse dodging ACR yet again :lol: poor Talk About but at least it managed a top ten peak before it went.
September 20, 20213 yr Poor brave 'Need To Know', it was cursed by being made an official single, it seems that as soon as that happened it started stalling while 'Woman' and 'Get Into It (Yuh)' kept rising :lol: a real shame it's stuck with a #11 peak but ah well, better than low top 40. That Surf Curse song is a bit of a tune so I'm here for it dodging although a shame it's never quite blown up enough to challenge for the top 40.
September 20, 20213 yr Although it's great that Surf Curse is back to zero weeks decline it is still living dangerously being a lowly 93 at last week's chart and could well fall out of the top 100 whilst on SCR. That said, it wasn't in last week's Monday Chart Update top 100 at all but it is in this week's at 99 so should have a tiny rise.
