Whether Taylor gets credited or not depends on Ed's label putting her on the credit, that's all it'll come down to.

(Perfect was a different case - the solo version was always the main single version and Beyoncé hopped on the remix, whereas this is specifically the single version of The Joker and the Queen)

But with this I take it that the actual Taylor version is what’s being pushed as the single? So hopefully he will credit her where the signed CDs he was putting out for this the version with Taylor?

I think she’s gonna credited for it personally. I think it’s got big potential but outside of the UK she’ll definitely help the streams of this (I mean am I right in saying that WW Taylor’s the bigger of the two).

Yeah exactly, though that doesn't necessarily guarantee a credit in itself (see DaBaby on Levitating). It all comes down to whether the label put Taylor on the artist credit or not and quite honestly we won't know either way until at least the Sunday First Look chart!
Their voices are too similar, not enough contrast, she sounds much better in duets with someone with a more distinct voice - or even Phoebe.

I get the point you are making but I don’t think Phoebe is a good example. When I listen to their song together (which I like very much) I think their voices sort of blend into each other’s voices and I find it hard to distinguish between the two.

Personally, I think with TJATQ, both Ed and Taylor are purposely trying to sing - with a softly spoken voice - to match the mood of the song - I think they do it well and sound gorgeous together. Just my opinion though.

I think #1 this week will be a tight content - very intrigued to see the first update this week. Only went in at #3 on Spotify - I did think it would go in at #1 and then loose momentum later in the week. Maybe it will still do that and drop further down from 3 or be a slow burner and maintain or even rise idk.

I’m really enjoying this song - it’s kinda stuck in my head when I’m not listening to it. If it does get to number 1 though, it will be a shame that her 2nd #1 is as a feature, especially after Cardigan, All Too Well and Willow (which are all such high quality lyrically and musically) didn’t make #1. But it’s Taylor, and I’ll take whatever we can get

I’m sure Ed will do something to manage the #1. Didn’t Bad Habits have a underwhelming debut and look what happened there. I’m sure it’ll at some point be a #1. If Taylor’s credited on this it will feel a bit meh that her two #1s are amongst her weaker material but at the same time I’d be happy to see her finally get another #1 single her singles peaks here remind of P!nk in a way always consistently getting hits but rarely getting the #1!

I have no idea how Bad Habits started off - I don’t really follow Ed although of course I noticed he was number 1 for about a gazillion weeks last year. And Ive read others commenting about how he’ll do whatever is needed to get to #1.

I too will find it strange that this may be a #1 for her when songs like Blank Space aren’t. But, it would make sense given the context of Ed being skilled at getting #1s etc. and the comparison to Pink seems fitting.

Let’s see how this one pans out. And I’m not gonna lie, I’m listening to the sing a lot and I’ll be ecstatic if she’s credited with a #1.

I had a feeling the first day would be the peak on Spotify and then it would drop.

That’s why I was a little concerned when it only went in at number three on Spotify. Dropping to 17 day two is quite the drop!! I wonder if it will get a top 10 placing.

It's just okay for me on first listen, not sure if it will have any replay value.

I’ve been playing it loads. But I think the general consensus seems to be  or  :nono:

I'm enjoying it a lot but I only played = a couple of times anyway so it's relatively fresh to me, although I do feel it doesn't pack the punch Perfect / TOL though

Similarly to me although I haven’t listened to = at all. I only heard TJATQ just before the feature release.

I know what you mean about Perfect and TOL - I adored that song so so much. I probably wouldn’t be playing TJATQ like this if Taylor wasn’t on it lol

Same tbf if Taylor wasn't on it would only be giving it the odd casual listen rather than 20 times a day

This doesn’t seem to be doing too well. I know the signed CDs have been given out today and so this will save the song this week (by how much is yet to be revealed) but after this week I think it’s gonna tank.

I’ve got to be honest, I played it so much the last few days since release but I’m kinda bored of the song already. Think I’ll go back to playing All Too Well…

Poor Taylor, not being credited on a #2 song.

I can’t work out if this comment is genuine or sarcasm…
