Posted December 13, 200618 yr Girls Aloud have said they disapprove of musicians glamorising drug use. The group, who celebrated four years being together last week, said in an interview with NME that they think it's irresponsible for artists like Pete Doherty to make light of their addiction. "That junkie idiot," said Cheryl of Pete. "The problem I have with him is that I've lost friends to heroin and I just don't get the idea of glorifying it. "I think it's disgusting. There are enough drug problems going on without him being in the public eye for it and sticking needles in his arms in the press. If he kicks his habit, he'll be a lot more respected."
December 15, 200618 yr Cheryl, put The Sun down :) Go to HMV and look under "L" and buy a CD titled 'Up The Bracket' by The Libertines. He's a hell of a lot more respected than you will ever be -_- Glamourising eh? Does she (and you all) think that all Libertines and Babyshambles fans are going start taking crack because the newspapers follow him around and take pictures of it? However I do wish he would kick the habit and if he did he'd be a national hero and then maybe the press would start talking about the fact that he's probably the most important musician of the 21st century so far. It would also be good considering the next Babyshambles album looks as though it'll be really good judging by the EP instead of it being a collection of good songs spoiled by bad production because he's too cracked up. -_- Also it's not like this hasn't been said by 10 billion other bandwagon jumpers who don't know the true facts before anyway. <_<
