I’d be amazed if their reaction to the biggest selling Spice 25 formats being individual member vinyl is to go “ok we won’t do those this time”.

That said, this is the Spice Girls lol!

That’s actually far from the truth lol, she was the quietest member regarding Spice 25.

P.S. Polite warning Michael, please refrain from posting in the manner you have done in the last few posts - you know very well that you’re trolling rather than being humorous. Also lovaticuk, I appreciate that the trolling is annoying but please let’s keep language polite!

They can put 10 remixes of Spice Invaders on it if it means we also get Step To Me :teresa:
I don’t look at them as a flash in the pan. I look on one hit wonders like Chesney Hawkes a flash in pan. They had nine number 1s far from a flash in the pan. They were never going to run as long as Girls Aloud etc either as they got so big so fast and burned out. The intensity of 1997 for them has probably never been matched by another band.

Seconding this I was about to post the same thing.

Agree. They really were everywhere and doing everything! By the time they went on thier first tour, they were already exhausted to be fair... bless them.

They're iconic though.

Short but incredibly powerful and long-lasting legacy! Quite impressive they are still today the biggest girlband ever and very much still a recognisable name and Stadium-tour de force. They changed the industry in two years and created so much cultural impact that affected a generation.

You can say they were just a flash in the pan. They're iconic

The globe video across all social media pages has a combined 1.1 million views

The Instagram page was on 801k on Tuesday and is nearly at 810k now, so the more active they are on the page means more followers. Hopefully it’ll reach 1 million soon.

I just found out that Mel B is in Australia for that crappy tv reality show?!!????!!! And I bet Mel C is going to continue to do solo gigs and possibly release new music in the Autumn?... what the f*** man...

The hold that lame reality TV shows and solo projects have on these girls, specially when there is a group release, never fails to baffle me

Is it too much to ask for a group campaign? Would it really hurt for them to even do one interview together, or a group shot to actually promote their music? Aparently, if you are a Spice fan, some actual-group activity seems to be off limits ffs :nocheer: :nocheer: :nocheer:

I was going to say they don’t want to waste the the star power of spice girls by doing these smaller things and then losing the allure of the group… then I remembered those crappy game adverts and thought well that theory is bullshit. Now my other theory is they only want to do it if it means lots of money for them which I guess this sort of thing is a small fry compared to what they can make in other areas (even solo to be fair I am sure these shows they go on pay them more than an album re-release does which then has to be split several ways).

It is so demoralising, specially as they did much more promo for that crappy games advert last year than for Spice25.

Like, no-one is asking for the world here. We are not expecting them to go on Jools Holland to perform songs from the release or do signings for it in your local HMV (like you know, most f***ing acts would do to celebrate their music).

But a sodding interview together? WHY NOT??? It is so so so baffling to me, and just points towards them not giving a crap. Yeah it is probably due them not getting paid well or whatever, but then they go and do the most mundane shit like the Masked Singer or Pub in The Park festival gigs, or a nappy launch in Australia...

ANYWAY! I am *sure* they will do some (a day of) interviews when they announce the tour or whatever... I will buy the Spiceworld25 release of course, but it just gets more frustrating the more this shit happens.

Spiceworld 26 now.

Vinyl records, cassette tapes and compact discs are obsolete. Just go with MP3 files for download.

Terrible idea.

Fans want these special physical formats.

Girlies, where the hell is this damn announcement??

Why would they put the logo/video last week with no fanfair at all?... They have reverted now to post throwbacks which is just lame

It’s definitely a strange tactic to tease something major like this and then revert back to normal posts like nothing happened. Generally speaking if any artist begins to tease something, then it’s typically imminent to the point that the next post or two will reveal more or everything about what was teased. Their social media posts with the globe received a lot of attention (by their standards) but that hype has faded now. They’ll effectively have to start from scratch again.

There was excitement on another forum I visit, but by Friday it had turned into confusion and annoyance because they’d all assumed that the proper announcement would surely be last week.

Yeah it seems daft that they released that tease 8 days ago and still nothing.. hopefully there’s a proper announcement by this coming Monday at the latest

You would laugh when I tell you they hired a proper team to sort the social media.

I think some of the problem is the Spice Girls don't fit in as a current band nor exactly a strictly heritage band. Like the Spiceworld rerelease isn't a new album but also much bigger than most cash in rereleases for a milestone anniversary.

A new album we would ideally have teasing or clips of the first single now but obviously this isn't a new album.

Well there's an easy fix to that: release a new album and become a 'current band' :yahoo: :teresa:
