Gaga didn't win, Nicole Kidman did, interesting. The Oscar race gets a bit more complicated. Thought Kirsten, Olivia and Gaga were the favourites.

 

The GG mean nothing anymore, after last year's scandal. No one in the industry takes them serious and to be honest, they have never been a big predictor for the Oscars as they always had some very left-field choices. Having said that, Nicole has created quite some buzz the last few months and I would say her and Olivia are the front-runners now, followed by Kristen. We also have Rachel Zegler and Alana Haim so I'm not too sure how sure we can be for GaGa's nomination anymore. It's going to be a tough year!

Yeah I'm very happy if Gaga gets a nomination now.

The cast is also nominated for "Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture". The ceremony will take place on February 27th.

Yep this is a MAJOR day for Gaga with Leto + Ensemble joining her at SAG (+ the K-Stew snub :cry:) and she has also made the BAFTA longlist (Picture, Driver, Leto, Pacino & Adapted Screenplay are too from the major categories) (the only snub on the actress longlist is Cruz which is pretty significant as it pretty much ends the random chatter about her being a possible upset for the actress win).

 

This race is so all over the place rn that I'm at the point I can see her winning the Oscar whilst also being snubbed for the nomination (tho quite honestly I think that's the same scenario for EVERYONE in this category rn which really makes this exciting. I feel like Colman is the only one I'm sure is making the line-up after getting into SAG with an "inaccessible" film for them).

Woop for her getting a SAG nom! This is a very positive sign. Shocked to see Kristen missing out though, and Jennifer getting in! I honestly thought it was over for Jennifer at this point, like UltraSourRed mentioned, it really is all over the place this year.

The Critics Choice Awards have been rescheduled to Sunday, March 13, 2022, the same day as the BAFTAs.

 

She is nominated for Best Actress there.

On the same day? She cannot attend both :( Not that we know yet if there will be anyone in person...
