Adam's End Of Year Chart - Top 100 - 2021:

100. Natalie Paris - Heart of Stone (from Six the Musical)

Release Date: August 31, 2018 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (5 weeks) | Peak: 05 | 5-x-43-x-32-39-x-49-x

We begin counting down my top songs with a massive ballad from my favourite musical, Six. For those of you that have been living under a rock; Six the Musical tells the reformed story of Henry VIII's famous Six wives. It's a 75 minute show full of massive bop bangers and hilarious comedy as each Queen reclaims her crown and takes us through their journey. Think Little Mix meets History and you have Six. At #100 we have the beautiful vocals of Natalie Paris on Heart of Stone. This song belongs to Jane Seymour in the show and is a stunning track that captures the audience. Heart of Stone has a huge climax and one that takes my breath away every time I hear it! I've had the pleasure of seeing Natalie perform this song live seven times and she has made me cry every time. Sadly she no longer plays the role but I'm so excited to see what's next for her.

99. KSI - Holiday

Release Date: June 18, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 02
Adam's Chart Run: (5 weeks) | Peak: 20 | 49-43-20-x-21-x-49-x

At #99, we have KSI's summer hit, Holiday, which managed only two weeks in my top 40. I have to admit, it deserves to be higher than this as it is a lovely track and it really felt good when we had some decent weather. Sadly, that was a rarity! I was working at a beach resort over the summer and this sounded so good when on my beach walks. KSI as we know is a huge YouTube personality with the Sidemen and I have followed them for a good few years so it's crazy how successful JJ has become. He's had a good few bops this year although his album leaves a lot to be desired.

Hi Adam!

Great to see you do a Year-End chart too!

I'll need to finish my 2020 Year-End list, before I go to my 2021 Year-End list.

98. Diane Warren - Seaside (feat. Rita Ora, Sofia Reyes & Reik)

Release Date: August 27, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (7 weeks)* | Peak: 02 | 2-17-18-34-48-38-44
*Still Charting

#98 sees the first appearance from a track which is still currently charting in my Top 50. Diane Warren teamed up with Rita Ora among others on this track and it's absolutely stunning. Seaside was released just at the end of August alongside Diane's album. In my opinion, it could have been released sooner to make up for more of the summer weather. This track would sound great in a heatwave. Rita sounds lovely on this track too and it's a shame nobody really picked up on it.

97. Cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie - Out of the Darkness (A Place Where We Belong)

Release Date: April 27, 2018 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (6 weeks) | Peak: 15 | 35-29-15-16-28-x-47-x

Another musical number here at #97 with the finale track from Everybody's Talking About Jamie. It's worth noting that this entry is from the West End Cast recording and not the movie. It's a feel good LGBT anthem all about acceptance and self love, and it really hit the spot for me when the West End reopened. I love this show and it's diversity, and the movie did it justice well. It features an insane couple of vocal runs at the end that is just *chefs kiss*, perfection!

96. Renee Lamb - No Way (from Six the Musical)

At #96 we are back with another track from Six. I suspect this may be a running theme through this year's EOY chart. As you can see by it's run, I tend to go through stages of loving it more times than others.
I can't get enough of this infectious show. No Way is performed by Catherine of Aragon in the show and is the first solo queen's song. It's reminiscent of Beyonce with the sass in this track and really sets the tone. It's quite underrated in terms of fan favourite tracks from Six and I enjoy this song a lot. When I've seen it live, the insane riffs from the cast always amaze me. A total bop.

95. Jesy Nelson - Boyz (feat. Nicki Minaj)

Release Date: October 8, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 04
Adam's Chart Run: (6 weeks)* | Peak: 03 | 3-4-11-12-13-9

Currently at #9 on my Top 40 at the time of posting, we have the very controversial Boyz. Jesy Nelson released her debut single in October and has faced major backlash since. I won't go through it here as it is not relevant to my chart. I enjoy the track for what it is regardless of the public opinion of Jesy. It is so catchy and a proper earworm. On the whole I am disappointed that Jesy (or more so her management) felt she needed a feature to be successful on her debut single but teaming up with Nicki Minaj seemed to work in gaining her a top 3 debut single. Unfortunately for Jesy, I think this will be her only 'hit', but I am still enjoying it for the time being.

94. Ariana Grande - test drive

Release Date: February 19, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 38
Adam's Chart Run: (10 weeks) | Peak: 07 | 48-22-11-7-11-24-35-40-41-48-x

Coming in at #94 is the first track from Ariana Grande. From the re-release from her album positions, Grande released test drive among other new tracks. My overall opinion on test drive was quite underwhelming, but it did grow on me for a bit and has a catchy chorus. By no means is it one of Ari's best though and it's SO SHORT, but a cute bop.

93. Olivia Rodrigo - good 4 u

Release Date: May 14, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 01
Adam's Chart Run: (6 weeks) | Peak: 02 | 45-22-5-2-7-24-x

Olivia Rodrigo's summer smash hit good 4 u is surprisingly low on my end of year chart given it's worldwide success. In truth, I didn't love the song but did have a spell where I played it quite a bit and it had 3 weeks in my top 10. I don't enjoy the 'Billie Eilish' type voice to listen to if I'm honest as I find it quite dreary, but I appreciated the different approach with this song and it was nice to see something different at number one for so long.

92. Little Mix - Confetti

Release Date: November 4, 2020 UK Chart Peak: 09
Adam's Chart Run: (11 weeks) | Peak: 02 | 16-5-2-3-4-9-14-2-2-6-41-x

Coming in at #92 is the original version of Confetti from Little Mix. This is the version which includes Jesy's vocals and I've got to say she *does* sound great on this. I remember listening to this a few days before the album dropped and I remember loving it. It was so different to Sweet Melody at the time and really stood out to me. We may see this song appear again in this Top 100 with the feature version, but we will have to wait and see!

Giving 'Out of the Darkness' a listen now, the song doesn't go the way I expect it to but it sounds okay! The brass in the second verse is a nice touch.

Confetti is alright, one of those songs I completely forgot was a thing until you mentioned it here!

91. Zara Larsson - Look What You've Done

Release Date: February 22, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (4 weeks) | Peak: 18 | 21-19-18-25-x

Finishing off the 91-100 grouping, we have Zara Larsson with her track Look What You've Done. This song is so underrated and really deserved to be a hit for her. It's certainly no Lush Life, but I thought it was a cute bop and enjoyed bopping along to it in Spring. I haven't really listened to it since though, which explains it's low position here.

Out of the Darkness is such a feel-good moment in ETAJ! Glad you've checked it out :)

Yeah I agree, I tend to forget Confetti and then realise how good it was haha :D

90. Lady Gaga - Replay

Release Date: May 29, 2020 UK Chart Peak: DNC
2020 EOY Chart Position: 16
Adam's Chart Run: (14 weeks) | Peak: 11 | 23-15-17-12-21-17-13-12-11-47-x-43-x-40-33-34-x

Lady Gaga makes her first appearance on this year's EOY chart with Replay from last year's #1 album, Chromatica. It charted at #16 in my EOY chart last year and makes an appearance this year at #90. This is probably my one of my favourite songs from Chromatica. I love it and the retro feel. I am still waiting on a live performance of this, hopefully one day! It hasn't really got old for me and I enjoyed the remix version that was released too. :)

test drive and look what you've done are great and also made it to my YE 100, good4U also low at 82 in my list.

89. Nathan Dawe x T.Matthias - Goodbye

Release Date: September 24, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 85
Adam's Chart Run: (7 weeks*) | Peak: 02 | 2-2-4-5-9-12-39

A recent track makes an appearance at #89, with Nathan Dawe's relatively new track Goodbye. It hasn't really done a lot in the charts but in my opinion this is by far his best track. I'm kind of a sucker for those higher auto-tuned voices on tracks and it's done to justice on this song. It's a song all about getting rid of your ex. A whole bop and more people need to hear it!
