Adam's End Of Year Chart - Top 100 - 2021:

88. KSI - Really Love (feat. Craig David & Digital Farm Animals

Release Date: October 23, 2020 UK Chart Peak: 03
Adam's Chart Run: (5 weeks) | Peak: 41 | 45-48-41-x-43-47-x

The second entry from KSI here with his late 2020 release featuring Craig David and Digital Farm Animals. Really Love is a solid track and to be honest I'm surprised it didn't even make my top 40. I suspect it's here because I don't tend to skip the song very often so it's playcount must be quite high considering it didn't do too well for me officially. Listening to it whilst writing this post and it still sounds quite fresh. I love Craig David so having him on the track is also a bonus.

Adam's End Of Year Chart - Top 100 - 2021:

87. Demi Lovato - Dancing With The Devil

Release Date: March 26, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 50
Adam's Chart Run: (10 weeks) | Peak: 06 | 42-24-19-6-15-19-17-16-24-47-x

Demi Lovato released their comeback single in March this year launching the new album, it only managed to reach #50 on the official chart, but I find myself not surprised by that somehow. Demi is a fantastic lyricist and tells stories through their songs very well... but they are starting to sound quite same-y these days and I feel that is reflected in it's popularity. It's a beautiful song and they sound beautiful on it. There's no denying Demi has gone through some awful things in recent years and I really hope they continue to thrive. I've seen Demi live and they truly are *incredible*.

86. Syn Cole - Breathe (feat. kaspara)

Release Date: January 22, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (6 weeks) | Peak: 15 | 31-21-15-20-32-47-x

At #86 we have a relatively unknown song by an artist called Syn Cole. I discovered this song just by looking through New Music Friday on Spotify. It features the vocals of kaspara, who has a really pleasant voice to listen to. It's a really cute song and was quite upbeat for a January release in lockdown. It's quite summer-y and probably would have been better releasing in May. Check it out if you haven't heard it :)

85. Zoe Wees - Ghost

Release Date: April 19, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (6 weeks) | Peak: 02 | 33-23-5-2-10-14-x

Zoe Wees enters here at #85 with her single Ghost released in April this year. I love Zoe Wees, she is absolutely incredible. She found fame in 2017 on The Voice Kids and I can't believe she didn't win. Her deep, soulful voice is stunning and everything I've heard from Zoe has really impressed me. Ghost in particular is phenomenal, my favourite song from her by far.
I've become a bit of a fan of Zoe Wees over the past year (really liked 'Girls Like Us') but Ghost must have passed me by! It's sounding like a very nice song giving it a listen though, looking forward to hearing more from her.

Adam's End Of Year Chart - Top 100 - 2021:

84. Calvin Harris - By Your Side (feat. Tom Grennan)

Release Date: June 4, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 09
Adam's Chart Run: (3 weeks) | Peak: 01 | 6-3-1-x

When you think of a massive pop-dance banger, Calvin Harris will often come to mind, his discography of ten number ones says it all. By Your Side is no different, featuring the raspy vocals of Tom Grennan, it does what Calvin does best, with a great hook. In my opinion, I think the beat goes on for far too long, because the actual melody of the song is great.
I also think I need to explain the #1-OUT chart run . Basically, I work away during the Summer months for a major holiday resort and we had a super busy Summer this year, so my chart took a back seat a little bit, meaning that when I returned to it, a lot of songs simple just disappeared. This doesn't reflect my love for this song though, it was a total banger that really got vibing in Summer. :)

83. Griff - Black Hole

Release Date: January 18, 2021 UK Chart Peak: 18
Adam's Chart Run: (5 weeks) | Peak: 03 | 50-29-3-3-4-x

At #83 we have another song that faced the same fate as By Your Side, in that I had a break from charting for a while meaning that this track dropped out from #4. Black Hole was released way back in January and I didn't hear it when it first came out, but I first discovered the track when Griff performed it on the Brit Awards. She gave a great performance and it made me want to check out the track. I don't find myself going back to this very often at all though but a pleasant song nonetheless.
I've had a similar situation with Black Hole, with it massively growing on me after the Brits performance! It's still my favourite of her songs I think.

Hey Adam!

Nice to see "Good 4 U", "Ghost", "By Your Side" and "Black Hole" on here, from those songs "By Your Side" will make my Year-End list too, all 4 of these songs are great though.

I agree, it's her best song imo! :) thanks for the comment!

Hey Sergej! Glad you like the entries so far! By Your Side is a great song to feature in your list :)

82. Lucy Spraggan - Run

Release Date: December 11, 2020 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (9 weeks) | Peak: 19 | 40-19-25-27-x-49-47-x-29-25-42-x

Lucy Spraggan has had a fantastic year for releases in 2021 IMO. Her best work ever has come out of this era and she makes her first appearance here with Run at #82. This uplifting track was released at the end of last year but it really got me through the lockdown in January, I took up outdoor exercising during lockdown and this track sounded great for motivation. I love Lucy and think she is seriously underrated but I was delighted to see her get her album to #5! :D

81. Becky Hill - Through The Night (feat. 220 KID)

Release Date: August 27, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (8 weeks) | Peak: 08 | 9-8-25-26-19-19-23-46-x

Finishing off the 81-90 group we have an album track from Becky Hill with Through The Night. We have now come to expect Becky to team up with major DJs to deliver her hits, and Through The Night does NOT disappoint. For me it's by far the best track from the album and I hope it gets the single treatment before the campaign is over. Some would argue that Becky can't get a hit without a feature and it's kind of true, but it's working wonders for her so if it's not broke, don't fix it. BOP.

80. Little Mix - Breathe

Release Date: November 6, 2020 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (17 weeks) | Peak: 14 | 27-25-26-14-25-23-14-34-27-23-34-38-46-x-48-36-33-x-23-x

A consistent appearance on my chart at #80 with Breathe, the closing song from Little Mix's sixth studio album, Confetti. This song when released didn't strike me with much, but then Jesy left (before the controversy) and it took on a whole new meaning. Fast forward a year and it sounds even more raw with the recent news. It's a decent closer for the album but doesn't really threaten the group's other ballads.
'Run' is another one which passed me by! I listened to quite a few songs from her most recent era but don't recognise this one, sounds like quite a fun one which is always good.

100%! Lucy is a really talented songwriter, it amazes me how she isn't massive.

79. Nathan Evans - Wellerman (Sea Shanty)

Release Date: February 5, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (9 weeks) | Peak: 22 | 35-22-22-30-39-x-41-47-47-47-x

Into the 70s we go with TikTok sensation, Nathan Evans. During lockdown, a lot of us took to TikTok to relieve us of boredom and we all got creative with video-making. Scottish singer, Nathan decided to sit as a desk and perform the Sea-Shanty, Wellerman. It was a massive viral hit and it put him into contact with music producers 220 KID and Billen Ted for a huge dance remix (I'm sure we will see that appear in this countdown). The Sea Shanty version is cute, but nothing major and the remix really sold the song.

Another track from Lucy Spraggan here from her Choices album. Why Don't We Start from Here is another uplifting track and has a really good foot-tapping beat. I can see this being a great song to sing along to during her live shows.

77. Rita Ora (with Imanbek) - Mood (feat. KHEA)

Release Date: February 10, 2021 UK Chart Peak: DNC
Adam's Chart Run: (9 weeks) | Peak: 13 | 34-22-13-19-25-34-41-40-48-x

Rita Ora released her Bang EP in February and I was absolutely loving it, she served us two massive bops and then a couple of questionable songs... this one falls bottom of the list on the EP for me. It's alright, and I like the pre-chorus but it just doesn't sound good at all. I feel like this is only high because I played the EP quite a lot in the earlier part of the year. The feature from KHEA isn't great either.
